Sport BC is proud to share that President and CEO, Rob Newman, was recently announced as president of Aboriginal Sport Circle bringing his demonstrated expertise in sport capacity development, government engagement, and organizational leadership to the ASC. Rob is a proud citizen of the Métis Nation of Saskatchewan. Of the opportunity Rob shares, "I am incredibly honoured to receive this appointment in support of the organization's mandate to improve the health and well-being of Indigenous people through sport, play, and physical activity. The ASC is currently involved in critical advocacy work and program development and I look forward to working with the membership to advance these important initiatives." Congratulations Rob!
