I can’t believe it has been a whole year since Theo has arrived back into our lives by a Twist Of Fate. Theo’s mom had passed away in January of 2019. I have poured my whole life into the dogs, and losing her felt like a horrible failure, like possibly I was not cut out for us... Then one day my friend was scrolling through FB and saw two American Bulldogs for foster/adoption - sure enough two of my dogs were dropped off with some wonderful people, Spike and Jesse, by some...one I considered a friend for 10 years. Thankfully I was able to connect with them and pick up my two dogs to rehome them appropriately. At 18 months he weighed approximately 55 pounds, he was ugly, small, while still very conformationally correct. I decided ... if he will work he can stay. I was skeptical as he was from a breeding of all show champions. His dam was a crazy bitch very watchful of everything , and his sire Mack very stable and steady minded. Theo came into the field angry and full of hate... And at home he is stable , steady, extremely friendly and respectful to other dogs. It became quite obvious that he would not be going anywhere. We’re moving! Again ... . Excited to announce that I will be servicing the lower mainland area and will start to accept bookings October 15th. First two photo of Rage at approximately 6 months - then again at 3 years old. It’s important to remember these dogs take time to fill out. Imagine if he had been neutered during this crucial growth period! It would have had severe effects on both his growth physically , as well as mentally. Also a friendly reminder to keep your puppies on the lean side , Rage only weighed approximately 80 pounds at 18 months. He put on most of his mass from 18 months to three years of age. Slow growth is best for their growing bodies. Growth is not a race. Now he sits at a healthy pet weight of around 112 pounds. He could even stand to be a bit leaner.
