All tax documents will be ready for pick up on Friday
Want to apologize in advance today I am not answering phone calls unless I am dealing with your tax return. I know when everything is due and I have put all business clients on hold to get thru this rush that always happens at this time of year. Thank you for your patience
In case anyone is wondering, here is the link for the BC version of CERB: https://www2.gov.bc.ca//covid-19/emergency-benefit-workers
CERB PSA so this has been changed yet again. If you have had your hours slashed and you are only bringing in under $1,000.00 You can apply now for CERB. You still have to meet the old qualifications though which are: Be at least 15 years of age Must have earned more than $5,000.00 in 2019 OR that amount between the time period of April 1 2019 to March 31 2020... Canadian Resident You are required to stay home to look after children You have not quit your job voluntarily You have lost EI benefits since Jan 1, 2020 You will be entitled to the full $2,000.00 now if you are still working very part time or your self-employment income has dropped significantly. To apply you need to go to www.Canada.ca if you have not received an ROE. This will allow some self-employed companies to keep their companies going at a minimum level but yet get assistance to help cover bills.
Hi Everyone, I am going to try and give a PSA to all groups I belong to every time there is a change to the programs for CERB or CEWS as I am sure some of you are busy with kids. I will also try to put it in plain english. Confirmed today the following: If you applied for both EI and CERB you would have received two payments of $2,000. DO NOT contact Service Canada or Revenue Canada, they will be doing a reconciliation by SIN number you do not need to phone, they will conta...ct you but know you will get a max of $8,000 for the whole program and they are asking that you budget for not receiving a payment next month if this has happened. If you applied for EI and received two payments of different amounts, one amount is for CERB of $2,000 the other amount is what you were entitled to for EI. If you own a business they now have the $40,000 Business Loan set up with all Credit Unions and Banks. Interest free for 2 years and if paid back in the first year $10,000 will be forgiven. Go to your financial institution to apply. Hopefully this saves everyone hours on the phone. Happy Easter weekend. See more
Summary of available benefits straight from Service Canada. Please note that all GST and Payroll Remittance must continue to be made.
We are currently working on getting T4s out for our business clients and tax software will not be ready until mid February at the earliest. Looking forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces.

Payroll remittance day today. Have you submitted yours??Payroll remittance day today. Have you submitted yours??
We are at the Sage conference today finding better and more efficient ways to service our customers. Includes things like bank downloads and payroll providers so far
Hi everyone, I thought this is the best way to send out a mass communication. I will be contacting everyone tomorrow morning to arrange for documents to be signed, today is nose to the grindstone day and will only be sending out e-mails regarding issues rather than peoples questions so I can get through the pile in front of me here.
For today only I have open doors for drop off between 11 and 2. I would like to get everyones items by no later than April 12th if possible please. I will not be open next Saturday though.
Now we are happy to be back in Canada and ready for tax season hope to see you all real soon!!
Everyone please be diligent with your mail this month as all your T slips arrive.
We are starting to gear up for Tax season here as we hope to be finished with T4s by next week. This is a first for our organization and trying to get ahead of the game. If you are self employed, we would love to receive your items early so we can get a head start on entering your more complicated data.
Remember Sage clients you must be on January 1st in order to move to the new year.
Know of anyone needing food processing equipment huge auction in langley happening
Interesting concept
A neat tool one of my colleagues found regarding the referendum. http://referendumguide.ca/lime/index.php/2018
For those of my clients in the service industry interesting take on the old comment they did not get their moneys worth!!
Still awaiting some WCBReports for this quarter please get your forms into us before it gets too hectic.
Friendly reminder quarterly WCB is due on the 20th
Look a little closer at any bills you receive as they may not be authentic.
https://www2.gov.bc.ca//income-taxes/personal/credits/basic In case you wonder why I am asking for the physical fitness or arts receipts, there is still some value for your provincial taxes!!
Well we are getting ready here as I am sure everyone else is for the busiest four weeks of the year. Please look at the Menu portion of the page for a 4 page PDF. We are asking that when you drop off your documents that you also drop off the four pages to ensure we have the most up to date information for you. If you cannot print it off we will have extras here for you to fill out. Again we will not be hitting the send button to CRA until late in the first week of April, bu...t we already have a number of returns starting to trickle in. Our greeter Maggie will be ready and waiting but I warn you she cannot always hold her licker!!
Lower Mainland residents are being threatened with arrest and deportation in a variation of the Canada Revenue Agency scam. These types of scams are particularly prevalent right now. The Canada Revenue Agency will not contact you suddenly by phone and demand immediate payment, or threaten arrest, if youre in doubt, hang up. Although the phone numbers may look like they come from the CRA or the police, its easy to mimic those numbers using existing technology.... For more information on scams and fraud that uses the CRA, visit .... https://www.canada.ca//security/protect-yourself-against-f.
In case anyone is wondering we are in the midst of getting all company T4s out the door before February 28th and well on our way. This year we will be looking to take in documents as you receive them but will not be transmitting until April to ensure that we have all of your forms for completion. We will also be requesting a questionnaire be filled out so that we have all your latest information.
For everyone who is in the middle tax bracket bad news for this coming year
Income Sprinkling is going to be the new Corporate tax accountants four letter word from what I am hearing from all my colleagues. 2018 is going to be an interesting year.
Our latest office assistant
Job Posting: Administrative Assistant with Bookkeeping for a window covering retail company in business for 28 years. Office is home based. 95% of the sales, installation and service is performed by our other team members at the customers location. We are hiring for an Intermediate position with pay determined by experience initially and increased with efficiency and effectiveness. Working with Sage 50 with Payroll, Office 365 and Google Apps (docs, sheets and drive), Dropb...ox, One Drive and Social Media. Basic multi-tasking with phones, assisting couriers, bookkeeping (a/r, a/p, payroll, reconciliations), invoices, statements and processing credit cards, posting deposits, looking up pricing manually, entering orders online and anything else required to keep the team doing their jobs. Accuracy in messages, emails, bookkeeping, pricing, etc. is critical. During the morning, there are a lot of interruptions due to getting everyone on the road and answering all the calls; however more concentrated work happens the rest of the day. If you are a seriously focused person, the interruptions could be frustrating and this would not be a rewarding atmosphere for you. Being home based, the hours are more flexible. I believe this is a 4 day a week job (Fridays off or half day.) I am also open to school hours 5 days a week with days off for school activities as necessary. Resumes can be sent to Lori Kowalchuk at [email protected] See more
I have various clients looking for construction trades people who will show up consistently on time and do not leave early or call an hour before a scheduled shift and say they cannot make it. They also will ask questions if they do not know what they are doing. They are willing to train people that possess these qualities. If you or your friends know of someone that fits this criteria. Please message me as good construction employees are getting harder to come by
Okay everyone, there is going to be a big push in our office this weekend to get everyones taxes done and estimated. Please drop off your forms no later than Friday the 21st if you have not already done so
Well tax time starts in earnest later on this week. If I can ask everyone to get their tax returns in to me by April 10th our team will get them done on a first come first serve basis here. Looking forward to a very busy 3 weeks.
