IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - January 6th, 2021: In view of the present changing and evolving situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), note that we will be following the initiatives as set forth by the provincial government and temporarily close the mandir effective Saturday, January 9th to Monday, February 8th inclusively. We will be evaluating our up-coming schedule and its activities from February onward and continue to keep you updated. We encourage everyone to take all necessary precautions and stay safe and healthy.

CURRENT UPDATE: We hope that you are all in good health during these challenging and uncertain times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ahead of another potential lockdown which may be announced tomorrow, we would like to draw your attention to the current financial state of our organization. As you all know, in the early stages of this pandemic our temple had to be completely closed down for about four months. In the months that have followed, while we have remained open, we have no...t been able to hold our functions in grand scale because of restrictions. This period of adjustment has been very difficult and as expected, valuable donations from these functions decreased significantly, while expenses remain intact. Here is a snapshot in comparison to last year: End of December 2019: Income: $502,721.13 Expenses: $470,803.84* End of December 2020: Income: $193,927.77 Expenses: $347,268.83* *Note that interest free loans are not included in these expense totals. We humbly request your donations to the temple to help us improve our financial position during this troubling time period. Please contact Ishwarlal Patel (President), Kishorbhai R. Patel (Vice-President), Yogeshbhai C. Patel (Secretary), and Thakorbhai H. Patel (Treasurer) or other members from the Executive Committee for information on how to make your donations.

NEW YEAR’S DAY: We will be begin the New Year with a reciting of 11 Shree Hanuman Chalisa as we welcome 2021 on January 1st at 10:00AM. While the temple will be open all day, we must continue to respect all government restrictions pertaining to COVID-19: 1) Everyone must wear a mask indoors 2) Wash your hands upon entering the temple 3) Maintain a distance of at least 2 meters 4) We cannot have more than 25 people within the temple at any time. We ask you to kindly respect these requirements at all times.

The funeral for Jagdishbhai C. Patel (Onjal) will be held on Monday, October 19th at Aeterna complexe funéraire et Crématorium / funeral complex & crematorium with Darshan times scheduled between 11am - 1pm. Note that a maximum of 25 people are allowed within the exposition at one time. Remember that wearing your mask is mandatory within the funeral home. We kindly ask you to be patient in line and follow the instructions of volunteers on-hand. In the event there are too many... people waiting in line, we ask you to wait in your car until there are less people in line. Please pay your respects and allow others a chance to do the same. . In loving memory, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jagdishbhai C. Patel (Onjal) who passed away today (Oct 17). Known as "Jagu" to everyone, he served on our committee for several years with a positive outlook in all that he took on task. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed shortly.

Washing your hands upon entering the temple, wearing a mask within the temple, and keeping distance of 2 meters from others is mandatory for all and these rules are strictly followed. Furthermore, we are presently a...llowed no more than 25 people in the temple and must function accordingly even during the following functions: 1. Navratri Festival: Beginning October 17th through October 25th. We will not be able to celebrate the traditional Navratri festival, however, Matli Pujan and other pujas will be performed regularly. 2. Festival of Diwali and Laxmi Pujan: November 14th at 7:00PM 3.
