What a fun day today at Camp Star! thanks for coming out to teach some sound and lighting!

WOW! What an amazing first session of Camp Star! These kids are amazing and they had such a great turn out at their first show! Not only did they perform, create, direct and produce their own show, but they did the sales, graphic design and Marketing for it! We couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and dedication! There are still a few spaces left for Session 4: August 12th-23rd!

Title: Camp I...nstructor Company: Sudbury School of Performing Arts Hours: July 2nd August 23rd, 2019 Monday Friday 9am-3pm 30-35 hours/week Wage: $15/hr # Positions: 3 Role Summary: The senior camp instructors will have practical and professional experience in production and performance or skills particular to the classes being taught as well as basic teaching techniques. They will have experience working with children between the ages of 7-18 in a camp or classroom setting, and in collaboration with other artistic staff. Responsibilities require the instructor to create lesson plans, teach sessions daily, (incorporating skills and techniques specific to their field) and assist the camp director with the rehearsal and production of two main productions per session. The CAMP STAR counselors will handle basic conflict mediation between children. Most importantly, the counselors will be positive team players, reliable and know how to have fun! Required Experience: 5+ years in a performance/production related field Experience working with children Experience teaching and creating lesson plans (a lesson plan outline can also be provided) Must have a criminal reference & vulnerable sector check The CAMP STAR counselors will have professional experience, teaching experience and a dedicated passion in one or more of the following: Singing Dancing Acting Songwriting/Creative Writing Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums, Ukulele Directing Photography Videography Lighting/Sound Graphic Design Recording Visual Arts/Crafts Marketing & PR Event Planning Preferred: Degree or Diploma in music, theater, production or related First Aid Certified How to Apply: Send Resume and Cover Letter to [email protected] Closing Date: May 1st, 2019 Job Type: Temporary
