When we moved into our place every single room and hallway had the builder's grade flush mounts that we call "boob lights". We switched them out and it dramatically changed the look of each room. Whenever I'm able to make my bed in the morning - it's a good day! I know everyone has some sort of morning routine or something that gets them started whether it's a morning coffee a visit to the gym or a bath first thing. I'm always mixing and matching different pieces to achieve the look that I want! We love having both our families over at the same time and it was important that everyone gets a seat so we decided on a sectional for our family room vs a couch. I wanted a sectional that would span most of the length of the room, short of getting a custom made sectional I found one that I loved (2nd photo) but the width of the sectional didn't scale the way I wanted it to. I ended up breaking ...the sectional up at the chaise and putting a coffee table that was lower than your average height to create width as well as an alternative to side tables. If you look at a stager's Arsenal, cushions are definitely one of our not so secret weapons! Adding pillows to your couches and beds gives a room an instant facelift and there's so many colors and textures to play with. You can change the whole look of a room by switching cushions out and often people do for the seasons. Decorative cushions can run anywhere from 10.00 to upwards of 100.00! That doesn't mean you have to spend a ton to achieve that plush finished look. My favo...urite are feather filled ones but I often mix some pricier ones with some more affordable ones to blend together and not break the bank.
