Edit: Thank you to everyone who dropped off pumpkins! We received way more than we expected and will not be accepting anymore at this time. We hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween weekend! We will be accepting pumpkins again this year to feed to our animals. Preferably un-carved but we will take both. They can be dropped off at our staff parking lot located at 811 Bleams Road between 9:00 and 4:00 Monday through Friday. Thank you in advance!

Hello Steckle Heritage Farm friends. The Board of Directors would like to tell you about Agnes Reist who has left a generous bequest to the Steckle Heritage Farm charity. Agnes grew up on a farm south of New Hamburg, and she and her husband George (1915 - 2005) had a Jersey cattle farm on Westmount Road - in a sign of the times, what was the entrance to their farm is now a roundabout. Agnes was a good friend of the charity's founder, Jean Steckle, working together with Jea...n on many community projects. As you can see at her obituary link below, throughout her life Agnes was an active supporter of many community organizations and, when she passed away last year at 97 years of age, it was her desire to share some of her estate with Steckle Farm. Our condolences go out to Agnes's family and hope that they can be comforted with the knowledge that the bequest is being used to fund the type of initiatives that Agnes supported throughout her life. https://www.dignitymemorial.com//kitch/agnes-reist-8902036 Each year, 4,000 children participate in Steckle Heritage Farm programs to learn about farming and where their food comes from. If you would like to support us, you can do so using our Canada Helps Donation page: https://www.canadahelps.org//charities/j-steckle-heritage/

Dear Parents and Guardians of campers, We are pleased to announce that we will be running our summer day camps this summer! All of our camps will be modified in order to meet the guidelines put in place by the Ministry of Health. We have also enhanced our staff training and have created a Pandemic Protocol in order to ensure the health and safety of our campers and staff members. ... This year we will be requiring campers and staff members to wear masks. We will be separating our campers into groups no larger than eight. The groups will be separated throughout the week and all surfaces will be sanitized in between groups. Parents/Guardians will be sent an email two weeks prior to the start of their child’s camp with information regarding the health and safety protocol for our camps. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during these uncertain times. Please email Emily with your questions - [email protected] We cannot wait to see all of our campers and have a fantastic summer!
