The Steep Rock Community Club will be having a get together on August 29 at 4 pm. The regular meeting will be held first & then a pot luck supper in lieu of the fall supper. The CC will BBQ a loin & baked potato for $5. All members welcome & you can renew your membership at that time or become a new member . Please bring a pot luck item of your choice. Hello Neighbours, Steep Rock Community Club is in the process of planning to beautify the area between the old store & Canada Cement Road. Year one we will plant trees. year two we will develop the flower beds & grasslands that the community would like to see.... Everyone can contribute & this is our community land to grow, mature & enjoy for years to come! Please look around your yards & property for perennials that can be donated & planted next year, 2021! The Steep Rock Ice Fishing Derby on March 21, 2020 is CANCELLED. Anyone who purchased early bird tickets will be contacted by Pat Graham or Craig Howse. When you purchase an Early Bird Ticket you will be allowed into the fishing area to select your hole at 9:00AM, one hour earlier than regular ticket holders! Well another year has come and gone and we the Steep Rock Community Club would like to give a huge, enormous, gigantic thank you to everyone that attended and supported our Fall Supper yesterday. Thank you for your patience in the line up, the meal was worth the wait. There are too many incredible people to thank by name! Thank you for making it a great success!

Volunteers are needed to help clean up the Steep Rock Church in order to have it ready to use this summer. New flooring has been installed and some of the pews were removed to accommodate this construction. This has made a remarkable difference. No one person would have to spend too many hours there if we make this a community effort. Weve experienced what this community can accomplish in a short time when everyone pitches in to help, and the more the merrier. If you know of... anyone who might be interested in helping, please assure them that they will be very welcome! So, please, whether its an hour or a day lets GET ER DONE! Jobs include washing all walls, baseboards, benches, fan, light fixtures, windows, and furnace room. Interior windows need light sanding on weathered wood as well as scraping off peeling paint, sanding, priming and painting. Exterior windows need scraping, possibly caulking, priming, and painting. As many people are here only on weekends, Saturdays would be the best option: May 18 start 9:00 am May 25 (after Community Club meeting @ 10:00 a.m.) June 1 start 9:00 am June 8 start 9:00 am If you can work weekdays instead, please let us know. Bring scrub brushes, rubber gloves, paint scrapers, ladder and small paint brushes if possible. Win can provide 5 ladders, 2 sets of scaffolding, and 6 scrapers. Community Club will provide rest of needed supplies. Hot water will be hauled from the Hall in 5-gallon pails. Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon.
