WE LOOK FORWARD TO A UNIQUE CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE 2020! Start time: 5:00 PM This will be an online / call-in service as required under code red, using the usual access links and telephone number. Some of you have asked about the potential to drive up to watch the service in your vehicle. Under current code red restrictions, we are permitted to do this provided only members of your household are in the vehicle. We would welcome you to come and park on the church parking lot f...acing the carport as we have lit it up this year. May you delight in Jesus the Light of the world! Please note: a. You will need to watch the service on your own device, using your own data plan (our wifi signal strength is not strong enough to provide a wifi option ). b. Please stay in your cars throughout and follow all applicable provincial guidelines.* TO PREPARE FOR THE SERVICE, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING FROM THE WORSHIP COMMITTEE Like every year, our church is planning to celebrate Jesus' birth with a service on Christmas Eve. Obviously, this year it will be very different. Various recordings are being made and pieced together from many different people in our church. There will be the telling of the Christmas story and carols led by each of the music teams. There will also be an element of the service that will require some supplies. Everyone will need their own roll of tape and a kit that has been prepared for you. The kits are ready and available at the church office. Please come by and pick up a kit (or a few) for your household before the 24th. (In fact, the earlier you pick them up the better so that we know if we need to make more.) Our hope and prayer is that in spite of all the difficulty and turmoil that has come this year, we will still have a special evening worshipping together on Christmas Eve. ~ SMBC Worship Committee AFTER the Christmas Eve service, you are invited to come between 6:00 and 7:00 PM to pick up a goodie bag and receive a greeting from our Pastors under the church carport. *Provincial Guidelines (a) all persons stay in their motor vehicle at all times while at the site of the gathering or event; (b) persons in a motor vehicle do not interact with any person not in their motor vehicle while at the site of the gathering or event; and (c) all persons in a motor vehicle reside in the same residence or receive caregiving services from another person in the motor vehicle.
