This little winter wonderland of a painting is complete! 10 x 12" $115

I was asked to capture this moment of grandparents and grandchildren in one of their favourite places. I just love the warmth of the sunset and the bond that you can see between everyone in this painting. They say this is their happy place. I think a lot of people would agree that it doesn't get better than sitting with family in a sunset. This was a long week, but I made it through! When you're busy with work, it can be hard to stop and enjoy the small things, like the way the sun shines through the trees or spending time working on a painting. One of the things that I did do was go for a "Moonlit Sleigh Ride" every evening with my husband and daughter. Getting that fresh air is so important and there's something magical about being outside at night in the winter. Today I have a bit of time to work on this painting and spending lots of time outside. My palette from this week. Time for a fresh one, Ill be spending most of today painting!

Today I had a private viewing of my art outside my home. Heidi and Kathleen made the trip out to see some of my paintings, particularly ones with water. With the new school year starting, "A Time to be Brave" is perfectly fitting for Heidi. Kathleen decided on "Onward" because she loved the feeling it evokes. Not pictured is another painting they both loved, titled "Playful". Im so happy that they found paintings that really speak to their soul.

I love misty mornings like this. The air feels so soft and cool.

What I love about summer is the chance to soak up all the beauty of being outside and gathering inspiration for lots of paintings. I wasnt able to get a picture in time, but I actually saw two turtles on a log before they slid off into the water. Next I need to capture some sunset pictures in the kayak!

I love the intense gaze of this new fox painting. Whenever I work on an 8 x 10" painting, I check if itll fit in this really nice, black floater frame. Up until now, I havent found on that fits. I painted this is memory of my beautiful Saluki girl Penny (2011-2020). She was such a free spirit and lived for the times she could run to her hearts content. I loved how she looked so regal but had a goofy personality. Ill never forget her! I had it custom framed at @bevvyteyems with a gorgeous silver floater frame. I think its perfect!

Another bunny, safely surrounded by fireflies. This one will be hanging in a little girls room and will hopefully help give her sweet dreams.

Ill be at the St.Norbert Farmers from 3-7 today with my paintings! The market is doing a fantastic job of following rules/regulations, so I hope its a stress free experience to buy some great local products.

Meet my new friend, Abel the Italian Greyhound! He became a part of the family yesterday. Hes going to be spending a lot of time in my art room because thats where his bed is. It seems he likes sitting on me better! Taheem likes him already!

Stanley Park Stacy asked me to paint these swans because she has memories of going to Stanley Park with her Dad on the weekends and watching them swim around. I love when Im asked to paint something meaningful like this.

Quiet Dream Quietly resting, this bunny has no fear of the night or day ahead. A firefly shines softly and the forest is still.
