Health and Performance Staff Highlight this time is on the wonderful Maria Cassell, Administrative Assistant at Health and Performance’s Deer Lake location. Maria’s birthday was last week so we are hoping she had a fabulous birthday week! Maria and her hubby got married this past July after 10 years together and they have a darling little boy Landon who is 2.5 years old. Maria’s favourite food is lasagne (good to know for staff potlucks:) and her favourite fall pastime is vis...iting the Pumpkin patch, playing in the leaves with her little guy or hiking /walking the gorgeous trails around Deer Lake. Where would we find her on a pouring-down-rainy Saturday? Watching movies or baking! (We seem to have a baking trend amongst our staff:). When asked who her favourite sport team is? She said she’d be disowned if she didn’t say Montreal Canadians . We are chuckling, as we maybe should start keeping track of how many Canadians vs Leafs fans are amongst our crew.... I am starting to think it would be close:) When Maria is looking for relaxation, she will be found out on their boat on the lake (that sounds incredible to us too:), and for adventure, she loves road trips... packing up and heading somewhere new, exploring our beautiful province. Maria’s dream vacation spot is New York or Ireland, and her ‘go-to’ hot beverage is Coffee, coffee, coffee! Maria has been with us for a little over a year and we couldn’t be happier that she joined our team. Her favourite part of her job? The patients! She loves chatting and getting to know our clients and loves watching them improve and celebrating their success. And she loves her amazing co-workers. It’s such a happy and positive workplace. HPC Team Staff Highlight: Helping our communities get to know us better! Today, we are so happy to share with you Samantha Zinck, our Administrative Assistant at our Stephenville location! Clients and colleagues feel that Samantha stands out because of her caring and friendly ways, which is one of the many ways Sam helps to make everyones clinic experience so exceptional. She is originally from Bridgewater, NS and has been with the Health and Performance team for 5 years. O...n a rainy day, you will find Sam baking and in the fall , her favorite thing to do is visit the pumpkin patch with her daughter! (We think that combination could result in some yummy pumpkin treats!) Her dream place to vacation is Bora Bora and her favorite sitcom is "The Office". When asked what her favorite part of her job is, she says that Interacting with the clients and getting to know them is the best part! We are so thankful that Samantha joined HPC and has stayed a part of our team for 5 years, sharing her organizational talents and love for people! Health and Performance Centre has so many incredible people under its roof, making things happen, creating a beautiful work experience for colleagues and a warm, safe and uplifting experience for our clients. We are so proud of who it is that makes this Medical Centre and Rehab Clinic group extra special so we decided we wanted to start doing Staff Highlights to let our communities learn more about who they are, why they are so special and why they make HPC a wonderful place... to seek private Healthcare services. There are so many incredible people, so we decided to start with Mrs. Cora Jessie Coates, HPC Clinic and Operations Manager for all 3 locations. Cora is known for her calm and graceful leadership style. Cora has 4 sisters and 1 brother; is married to her best friend and life partner Seymour and together they have 2 amazing children, Melanie and Chris, 2 son in-laws (Andy and Sebastien), 3 beautiful foster Grand Kids and their dog Nikie. Favorite Thing to do in the Fall: Go for a drive to look at the beautiful colors Favorite Sports Team: Montreal Canadians Favorite rejuvenating place: Trailer at Birchy Narrows, out on the lake on a calm day without a sound around or around a campfire with family and friends, laughing until her belly hurts. Favorite part of her job: Seeing our clients happy and pain-free and working with her awesome peeps! She is admired and respected by so many and we are so proud to call Cora our Clinic Manager!
