WE CANNOT ACCEPT WALK INS FOR THE FLU VACCINE or do a flu clinic due to covid rules so please call the office to make an appt to get one. Many of the pharmacies do have the flu vaccine and the high dose (they order directly from manufacturer) so if you can get one at the pharmacy please do so as they can see a higher volume of patients per day than we can, and call the office to let us know that you received one so we can put it in your chart. The office is closed today July 28/20 for holidays. We will re-open next Tuesday August 4/20 at 8:45am. He is in the office until 12pm but is not seeing anyone that does not have an already scheduled appointment **

SCHEDULE FOR THIS WEEK (JULY 20-23/20): PHONES AND OFFICE OPEN MONDAY AND TUES 9-3, WED AND THURS 9-2. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT DR POIRIER HAS TIME TO CALL EVERYONE BACK BEFORE HE LEAVES THE OFFICE THAT DAY.

Due to meetings the office will be closed at 11am today, Thursday July 9/20. We will re-open Monday July 13/20 at 845am. Dr Poirier will still be doing labs and prescriptions this afternoon and will contact you if there are concerns

In regards to the annual fee letter that has went out again this year: we do apologize but the company that has written the letter has messed up the section on prescriptions-again. There is NO fee for prescription renewals. Please continue to have your pharmacy fax us when you require a renewal. There is NO fee for this. We apologize for the confusion.

The technical issues seems to have been resolved and the phones are opening up!

We are having a Barrie-wide EMR problem and unable to access any chart at this time and will not be able to assist you over the phone until this is resolved. They are working on it and will update you as soon as it is fixed and the phones will open as soon as it is as well. I appreciate your patience in this matter. ***Computers are back up and we are opening the phone lines in a few minutes. ***

I want to thank you for all the well wishes and for your patience during my medical emergency. I am happy to report I will be back at work tomorrow and will be following the previous guidelines of phone visits for non-essential visits and in person for essential visits. I will again try to do as much as I can for all of you and feel very blessed to care for all of you. Please call my office during normal office hours if you need anything.

Unfortunately, the medical issue mentioned in the last post will require surgical intervention. The surgery has been postponed twice already, so not sure when it will actually happen. But because of the delays and expected recovery time, the office will not be open this week. For those of you with scheduled office visits, we are working on getting our NP to come in and see you, Donna will call you when we get the details nailed down. For those of you with phone visits, Dr... Poirier will be calling you. Patients with phone visits scheduled for tomorrow morning- he will likely not be able to call until tomorrow afternoon, depending on how things progress today. Prescriptions and results will be reviewed by the nurse and she will take care of as much as she is allowed to within her scope of practice. We will contact you if any f/u is necessary. For patients requiring medical assistance this week, please head to the ER or you can call the Prince William walk in clinic at 705-722-1199.
