Today is the last Sunday of the liturgical year, and so it is the Feast of Christ the King. Earthly kingdoms and governments come and go, but Our Lord forever reigns as King of the Universe! #EWTN #Catholic #Jesus http://www.usccb.org///christ-the-king-bulletin-insert.cfm

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us in many ways here in Canada. In the Global South, the impacts are devastating, as the pandemic is worsening poverty, hunge...r, conflict and gender inequality. Your solidarity and generosity are needed to support the work of Development and Peace so we are all recovering together. Our partners need us more than ever so that all can live in dignity. Due to the pandemic, it has prevented the taking of the National Share Lent collection this year. There will be a make-up collection in all parishes across the Archdiocese of Winnipeg (see letter from Archbishop Gagnon on our website). Please use your Share Lent envelope to make a donation. You can also donate online at devp.org or call 1-888-234-8533 or send a cheque directly to Development and Peace, 1425 René-Lévesque Blvd West, 3rd Floor Montréal, Québec, H3G 1T7. For more information, please contact Janelle Delorme, animator, [email protected] or 204-231-2848.

The Provincial Government announced today that the Province of Manitoba will move to Red (Critical) on the Pandemic Response System as of 12:01 a.m. on Thursday..., November 12, 2020, and this means the following: All churches, chapels and mission places of worship are to suspend all public services for a period of at least four (4) weeks or until further notice. Parishes may continue to live-stream Masses but must limit the service team to a small group of people, without a congregation. In addition, parishes may still celebrate weddings and funerals to a limit of five (5) people, not including the priest presider. The status quo on cohorts remains pending clarification from the Provincial Government. The upcoming situation is similar to our experience this past Spring. Please see www.archwinnipeg.ca for the full memo from Archbishop Gagnon

"Hold out your hand to the poor, instead of demanding what you lack. In this way, you will multiply the talents you have received."
