Yesterday, we had the privilege of dedicating Elizabeth Tompkins unto the Lord! Psalm 127:3 "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him." In light of the dedication, Pastor instructed the Church as to how "It Takes a Village" to raise a child. We must all strive to be the best of Christian examples to the little eyes and ears around us.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Throughout the year we find ourselves Thankful, but when our Pastor Appreciation Day and Thanksgiving are on the same Weekend, gratefulness is at an all-time high! Pastor Lorne Cheverie and our First Lady Anne Cheverie are the greatest of friends, most passionate of Christian's, and inspiring leaders. There are so many lives they have impacted for the better, and not just the ones who currently sit in our Sanctuary on Sunday.... Thankful for: Our Community, Our City, Our Church, Our Ministry Team, and our Awesome God Be blessed today in Jesus' Name!

So thankful we have a great ministry team that steps in when Pastor Cheverie is away. Our Men's Minister Akime, as well as our Assistant Pastor Jordan preached, and taught, the Word over the past week and a half. Pastor will be back tomorrow for service at 1PM, consider it a reunion for we shall see you then as well!

And so ends this time of year again, students head back to school, days get shorter, seasons change but God remains the same! Yesterday's Bible Study hosted Ajani's last service before heading to Northeast Christian College for his final year. He delivered an important message of need for a strong and consistent connection between the Church Body and our God. We pray that all the Bible College students this semester may learn well and always keep God first!

Last night concluded our Final Social Distancing Bonfire of the Summer! Another great time of fellowship! Be sure to join us this Sunday as we meet together in the presence of our God @1pm! Today our Church decided to execute On-site with Insight prayer walks around our seperate neighbourhoods. We are praying that God would break down strongholds and break chains so people may come to believe in Him. Join with us in praying for the people of St. John's!

As Pastor Cheverie's sermon yesterday made clear, we Christians are in a fight we cannot lose with God on our side. "We Wrestle ... In a rigged match" 2 Corinthians 2:14... Ephesians 6:10-20 We enjoyed a pleasant visit from the McGuire's, Ministry from Millville New Brunswick, as their last stop in Newfoundland before returning westward

To many, this was a normal weekend in July. However, here at Lighthouse Apostolic Church we celebrated our 4 Year Anniversary! We honour and thank the O'Donnells for their years of service to the people and community of Trinity, Newfoundland as this Sunday was also our farewell to them as they return to New Brunswick. Bro. Mike O'Donnell left us with this charge: "It's Time to Shine". 4 years in and we still labor as the Lighthouse of Hope and, by God's Grace, for many years to come!

Lighthouse Apostolic Church returns, under social distancing procedures, to MacMorran Community Centre. Please remember to bring your mask, hand sanitizer and any other sanitation items you require, we will also have some available. Makya Williams, our Sunday School Teacher, pictured here as she taught from God's Word during our mid-week service. She brought a sobering and hopeful reminder of the very soon return of our Lord Jesus. People of St. John's, Lighthouse Apostolic Church loves you, we hope you would all be ready when that day comes!

Today our Campus Pastor, Morgan Holmes spoke on "Living with Outflow". We are not meant to reserve everything God has given to us but to give unto others our experience, love and testimony of Him.

Acts 2 describes the first Pentecost Sunday, the founding day of Jesus Christ's Church. Today we celebrate the outpouring of God's spirit to live and dwell in those that follow Him; the greatest miracle! The world has never been the same since! As Apostolic Pentecostal people, we believe that the events in the book of Acts are still available to us, even a 3000 soul revival in a day! If you want to experience a true touch of God and similar events to the book of Acts, contact... us! Pentecostals need a Pentecost. Continue praying that we may soon gather together again as a church.

To all Mothers. Our First Lady taught Lighthouse Apostolic today on Effectual Prayer for our Mother's Day Service. Thankful for the praying Women in our lives today and the Power in Prayer God has given us access to!
