Our upcoming Stollery Caregiver Wellness Sessions feature a psychologist and a parent coming together to support you in this time of uncertainty. This session is for caregivers of children with complex medical needs as they navigate the pandemic world. Through this group, we hope difficulties will begin to feel smaller as we share them and help each other. We’ll create opportunities to build bridges with others to grow and maintain strong families; participate in discussion... to determine solutions together on how best to navigate challenges; share ups and downs, ideas, and strategies to address common and not-so-common obstacles faced by families of children with complex medical needs; be part of a compassionate community of caregivers who understand your life. To register, please email [email protected]. If you have questions or require additional information, contact Shanda at 780-407-7255.

Our wonderful team had the pleasure of delivering a Thanksgiving meal to patients and families at the Stollery. The lunch was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation donors. We’re so grateful for their support! Wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving weekend!

As youth move into the adult health care system near the age of 18, they begin to learn how to manage their own health. Tasks such as arranging medical appointments, keeping track of health information and managing medicine and treatment plans will be part of a youth's role as they transition into taking ownership of their care. Transition 101 is a resource developed to give youth and their families the information and skills needed to prepare for the transition to adult care. Find out more at https://bit.ly/30EFSK4
