It was small and manageable but I sold mostly to lovely people in the US and other provinces. Now it seems that you prefer to shop local through my new website. I love happy mail days. If I had a magic wand I would pop your orders to you bipity bopity boo. Sadly, Canada post doesn’t have a magic mail option. Mail days are Tuesday and Friday of each week. Right now mail is taking between 5-14 working days across Canada and way longer to the United States. That’s why all my U.S. order require tracked shipping. I always think of these things after the fact. But I should have taken a better picture of this 500th but last sale from my sweet little Etsy shop. I had my shop open for a second while I was downloading the files for my taxes. A lucky customer was super quick and I sold this 500th sale in those few minutes . Oh goodness, change is happening! Many of you know that my little textile studio is a way for me to make lovely things yet carefully manage my chronic pain and anxiety. I’m so very thankful for all of you and the support you’ve shown me and my little Etsy shop over the last few years. But this sweet creative business life is not without conflict or stress. My entire day is focused on living a mindful life that manages my pain. This past week the conflict that arose through my... Etsy shop made my pain unmanageable. I realized that I need to better manage other aspects of my creative life as well. For me that means having better control over my sales and the means to stand up for what I know is the right thing to do. Sadly, Etsy’s marketplace sales platform offers very little real time seller support or protection from unscrupulous buyers for its sellers. Thanks to other makers who gave me good advice about sales platforms, I’ve decided to make some positive steps in a new direction for my point of sale. I’m working hard behind the scenes to create an awesome shop update. I’m so excited to see these changes roll out when I’m back from vacation mode.
