Such a mesmerizing powerful animal! I’ve crossed paths with quite a few goats in the back-country, but none quite so memorable as this one! I knew that he knew that I knew....that he did not want me there! It became very evident when he kept intentionally moving himself in front of me while I was attempting to access a ridge-line above him. Super vocal as well! Eventually I backed off and returned down to hike the other side of the valley instead. The only time in my life I... actually feared a goat! Recently I took a short break from running around snapping photos in the back-country, to spend a super fun evening capturing a few of actual people for once!
