Looking for a safe place to skate? Visit our NEW skating capacity map to see options to help you choose a less busy location. https://t.co/AShHfCpKMw?amp=1 Thanks for partnering with us to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.... *Edited to add: We appreciate this conversation as we are all working towards the same goal of keeping our community as safe as possible from COVID-19. Our municipal team is working hard to provide as many outdoor activities as possible, including skating surfaces that meet the provincial health requirements. Our officers have appreciated the conversations and opportunities to talk and answer any questions from residents enjoying the outdoor rinks, and are a partner in ensuring our overall community health. Our staff and officers love hockey too, and they are also looking forward to a great game of shinny, once the health restrictions are lifted.

If there is a hydrant near your home, please clear snow or ice at least 60 cm (2 ft) from around the hydrant. That way, in an emergency, Emergency Services' crews can find and access the hydrant with the greatest possible speed. Those few extra seconds or minutes could make a world of difference in an emergency. https://www.strathcona.ca//clearing-snow-around-fire-hydr/
