During the Lockdown Dear patrons, We wanted to inform you that we will be available during the lockdown. We have been deemed an essential service, and as such, are able to deliver our clinical services such as assessing and dispensing of foot orthoses, compression therapy, and orthopaedic bracing. Our patients from wound care clinic and fracture clinic can rest assured that our clinicians will be available during these trying times.... Hours December 29 - 9:30-12 and 1:00-3:00 December 30 - 9:30-12 and 1:00-3:00 December 31 - 9:30 - 1:00 January 4th to the 9th - 9:30-12 and 1:00-3:00 All interactions will be booked appointments. For those uncomfortable with entering our facility, we can do car-side dispensing like we did back in April. Updated 17-OCT-2020 We have decided to move our operations back to Phase 2, in light of the recent increase in local COVID-19 cases. We are attempting to ensure the safest environment for our staff and patrons. We are open to the public, but are asking all patrons to book by appointment whenever possible, this includes footwear fittings.... We are limiting the ratio of patrons to staff to 1:1. All individuals entering the facility must be wearing a mask, will use our hand sanitization station as soon as they enter, and will have their contact information recorded when the pass the screening questionnaire. If you are able to attend your appointment alone, we ask that you do so. Parties will be limited to two individuals. This includes either a parent or a needed care giver/companion. If you are unable to book an appointment, please note that the door will be locked. We can accommodate individuals only when we have re-established out 1:1 ratio. Please give us a call from the parking lot and we can get your number, and call you when we can assist you, following a cleaning at the departure of the previous guest. We are currently operating on our winter hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 9-5, Friday from 10-5, and Saturday from 9-2. Please note that, on Saturday we have a capacity of 3 patrons at a time. Saturday end of day tends to be busy, so earlier on Saturdays is recommended. Well, the first day is in the books, and it was certainly different. It was great to see our patients, new ones and our regulars. EVERYTHING took a little longer, as we sanitized in between every patient, and ensured there was no overlap. We were encouraged by every individuals understanding and willingness to work within our new parameters. Things will take some getting used to, as we figure out areas that we can be more efficient in, while not sacrificing a high level o...f cleanliness and infection control. Just a reminder as we move forward; all interactions will be booked appointments, we are currently asking all patients and patrons to wear a mask, and we are limiting attendance of appointments to one person, unless a caregiver or parent must attend. We are currently seeing patients from 08:15 - 17:00, Monday through Friday. Thank you to our dedicated staff, those that are here helping us enact our new rules, and those still at home, ready to be added to the mix. We love our team! One day down, bring on tomorrow!

Now Booking! With the recent Ontario Government announcement, we are now calling our list of patients (or is that patience) to book for assessments, fittings and gait analyses. We will be screening all patients, socially distancing, and have a variety of additional policies and procedures in place. Its been nice having the clinical team back in the facility, as we get prepared for a phased re-opening. This has included in-depth training on infection control, modifying our practice management, figuring out appointment scheduling to maximize social distancing, and reconfiguring the clinic to allow appropriate distancing for all concerned. We will return to clinical services (biomechanical and gait assessment, orthotic, bracing and compression appointments) once the province allows it. We can still see patients for emergency appointments, and continue to do car-side dispensing of already completed orthoses, footwear and compression.
