We share so much #pilates content, but we certainly don’t mean to neglect featuring our wonderful Yoga instructor Linda How about a little Yoga 101 to start the year off?: Warrior Pose 1 - Virabhadrasana: Energizes your entire body, opens your hips, chest and lungs, encourages circulation and respiration. Good for focus, balance and stability and stamina.... Intrigued? Try her Monday class, now live on the schedule (link in bio)!

Happy New Years from all of us at Studio3! We thank you for your incredible support this past year, and wish you a safe and healthy 2021. A quick snapshot of how Alex, one of our instructors, is keeping busy while at home over the Holidays - she’s taking Carla’s instructor’s class (sound on if you’ve been curious!). But is happily distracted by their new fourteen week old kitten, named Otis. He might be making an appearance in her virtual classes shortly

A staple in our virtual flexband class, try adding a resistance band to your Rollup at home! It often makes this classical exercise a lot more achievable Bonus: add the extra tricep work at the top! Keep your elbows high, and try to maintain your round back with help from the abdominals.

Slightly blurry, but let’s say it’s all the good cheer in this staff photo! We got almost everyone together for a quick hi! and Holiday toast tonight. No one volunteered to sing carols, please send along any video content you feel inclined to share

How many equipment based exercises can you transfer to a useful variation on the #mat? Here, we’re breaking down the classic #Cadillac exercise Breathing during an online Studio3 Instructor Master class to access it’s essence on the mat. . Spinal articulation with easy arm movement are tied together to promote relaxed upper body movement. This can encourage deep, connected breaths that will bridge this flow to the strong stability we want in the lower body. Reverse your focus (strong arms, easy movement in the hips) to tie in leg lifts at the end. Have fun! #pilates #pilatesinstructor #keepmoving

This year’s spring cleaning has been a little more involved at #Studio3. We’ve been busy getting the studio ready for when it’s time to open back up: deep cleaning, installing new air filtration systems, and most importantly big moves of big equipment; so there’s more safe separation between us all. We’ll keep you updated as things (hopefully) keep moving forward.
