The Naked Stage Readers #Theatre Production presents You Will Remember Me. An inter-generational story about the impact of memory loss. Edouard, a university professor and prominent public figure, must confront his dementia in conjunction with his fractured family. Subtle, moving and funny, "You Will Remember Me" shows the importance of reviewing the past and collective memory as an essential part of the human condition. Feb 28 & 29 at 7:30 pm & Mar 1 at 2 pm... Newton Cultural Centre 13530 - 72nd Ave, Surrey BC Tickets: www.brownpapertickets.com or at the door #livetheater #plays #drama #literature #acting

Apart But Still Together... As the Board of Naked Stage works out our plan for seeing you again (various creative options being considered both to make people feel safe watching from home and for those who safely want to see a live performance....) we continue to love receiving your feedback. In case you missed it, here is the link to our recent recording of "The Velveteen Rabbit".... https://youtu.be/0zcy5hgQXG0 We were happy to bring it to you and urge you to share it. A couple of the comments we received about it include: "I just sat and watched and listened to this. It’s one of my favourite stories. Well done and thank you!" "...Thank you for doing such a wonderful act during this very uncertain time. It is heart-warming that there are such caring people like you who think of others. I will share this with our 2 granddaughters, 8 and 10..." If you wish to receive our discussion guide that accompanies the performance, please reply to this email. Stay safe and see you soon!

The Naked Stage Readers Theatre Our Gift to You...Please Feel Free to Share In a recent newsletter, we teased you about a production we were working on. While we cannot be with you in person just yet, we were busy rehearsing for what would become the recorded stage reading of a popular play in our repertoire.... We selected "The Velveteen Rabbit" to send as our gift to you in part because it is a lovely story the entire family can enjoy. Recognizing that many Parents and Grandparents are tasked with helping children with learning at home, we are also providing a discussion sheet here, should you choose to use it with your family members. Members of our Board as well as one of our Board Members member's children perform in the play and they will introduce themselves a the top of the recording. Please feel free to share the link below as well as the Discussion Guide with anyone you think might appreciate it. Stay safe and we will be in touch. https://youtu.be/0zcy5hgQXG0

The Winning Entry in our Quote Draw... You may recall that a few weeks ago we asked Naked Stage Audience Members to provide us with their thoughts and feelings about Naked Stage in general or one of our plays in particular, and in turn their names would be included in a draw for two tickets to the first production of our 2020/2021 season. We would like to thank all of those who entered the draw with a quote. We will be using them all in our marketing materials. We held a rand...om draw of all those who entered and would like to recognize our winner Phil Byer!!! And here is Phil's quote: I now understand the name "Naked Stage": there is no staging. And better than the performers actually being naked on stage, which would be distracting , they bring wonderful life to the plot and characters just through the way they speak the words. In fact, in the two performances I have attended, I appreciated the script much more by not being distracted by scenery, props and movement. P. Byer, White Rock Thank you all again for your continued support and contributions to our efforts. Stay safe and see you soon! #livetheater #plays #drama #literature #acting #artsclubtheatre #thecultch #shakespeare #bardonthebeach #actor #audition

Coming Up! Now that we have your attention, we would like to start with a reminder to send in a quote about Naked Stage in general, or about a past performance that you enjoyed, so that we can include it in marketing material we are developing (including our new website!). Once you submit a quote (including your name and city), you will be entered into a draw for two tickets to our first production of the 2020/2021 season. The random draw will be chosen by May 24th, so don't ...delay! Reply to this email. The winner will be announced the following week. THANK YOU!!! Okay so now...Coming Up! We are beginning rehearsal this week for an online performance of a popular play in our repertoire. Without providing too many clues at this time, what you might like to know includes: - A link will be sent out to our subscribers and Face Book followers (but feel free to share with other friends and family members) - It will be available at not cost - It will be of particular interest to families with children (especially those parents who have been having to do more home schooling and being stretched to find engaging activities) - One final clue ... Take Care and Stay Safe!
