This Thanksgiving, we are grateful to our OSUD/Svitanok community for their support and patience as we wait for the chance to gather in person again. Despite our eagerness to dance together, we know that pausing is the right decision while Ottawa remains a COVID hotspot. We'll continue to wait with patience and anticipation until the time is right. For now, let's keep dancing in our kitchens, living rooms, and yards! Happy Thanksgiving to all! Roman Mikula

The Svitanok Ensemble contributed this piece to UCC National - Ukrainian Canadian Congress's virtual Ukrainian Independence Day celebrations. We're happy to be connecting across Canada for this initiative! This dramatic duet represents Ukrainian collective memory and commemorates all those who sacrificed their lives fighting for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
