We were inspired by you. I rented a bike again on Saturday before we left to go back to Edmonton. We tried the path from Blairmore to Coleman but it was too windy. We found the path along the river and did a 10k around it. 10k, that’s so awesome sometimes our wind is not so awesome .... It’s been a week since I last rode my fat bike and a while since I have posted anything. I really miss riding my bike but I have learned that taking a week off can be great for the soul. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my choice to take the week off and spend it with my folks, as many of you know, my father suffered a concussion and a brain bleed last Friday. He is doing so well after his surgery. I am very grateful and know how lucky we are to still have him in our lives. J...ust the little things like sitting down and watching the news with him, or doing an online yoga session with mom to help calm her stress, made me think that I need to do this more often. We often get so caught up in our own lives that we forget what really matters. It is not how many km’s I get in a week or how many workout sessions or how many people are viewing my social media that really matters. It is family. It is so important to spend quality time with the people you love. Make sure you schedule this in. Covid times are rough, but we have technology that enables us to still keep in touch. Maybe this weekend, reach out to that family member you haven’t talked to in a while. It’ll make both your hearts smile!
