JOB POSTING - WE ARE HIRING Civil-Structural Student Co-op/Summer Intern Syme Structural Engineering... SSEL is a Salmon Arm based structural consulting firm serving the North Okanagan and Shuswap. SSEL serves clients mainly from the residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors and has been employed on projects ranging in scale from residential retaining walls to industrial scale barns. Duties may include: Performing site inspections to determine completeness of ontractors’ work to SSEL specifications Drafting using AutoCAD 2D software Assisting staff in the delivery of all project components including report writing, code summaries, drafting correspondence, checking drawings for completeness Qualifications: 1 year of Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or 2 years of Bachelor of Applied Science in the civil/structural field Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and word processing software Interest in structural field Strong interpersonal skills Good verbal and written communication skills Construction experience an asset Please email your cover letter and resume to Scott Syme at [email protected]
