Alberta’s 2007 Child Care Licensing Act and regulations are due to expire in January 2021. The Ministry of Children’s Services has released three surveys to engage Early Learning and Child Care stakeholders (parents, educators, owners, directors, operators) as part of the Child Care Regulation Review consultations. The Association of Early Childhood Educators of Alberta believe that, together we can achieve a better child care system in Alberta that includes early childhood educators who are well-qualified, well-compensated, respected as professionals, valued for their important work, and supported in providing high-quality child care for Alberta’s children and families. These surveys will close on July 15, 2020. A link to the surveys can be found below.

Yesterday we sent out a survey in the HiMama app in regards to our families needing care upon us re-opening. We ask that you please fill out this survey as soon as possible. If you are having trouble accessing the HiMama app please message me.

An idea to keep the kiddos busy!

We are looking to add more gross motor activities into our indoor play rooms! Items such as hoola hoops, scooter boards, pool noodles, balance beams, skipping ropes, trampolines etc. would be a great addition to our centre. If you have anything like this laying around we would greatly appreciate any donations

On February 22nd and 29th we are holding child's first Aid with St. Johns at the daycare. We are in need to fill one more spot. If anyone is interested please contact Jayme at the daycare for more information 403-223-3455

We have 1 confirmed case of Roseola and 1 confirmed case of Croup at the daycare. If your child has a fever please consider keeping them home as Roseola is highly contagious. If your child has any sign of a rash please have them checked out by a doctor. If your child is diagnosed with Roseola they must stay home until they show no sign of a fever for at least 24 hours.

If any parents have decided to keep their children home tomorrow due to the schools having a snow day please let me know feel free to private message me on here.

Shoe Boxes need to be handed back into the office this week

This folder is now posted by the office for any calendars or forms that may need to be handed into the office

REMINDER: Fees are Due this Friday the 15th Christmas Holiday Forms need to be handed in this week, preferably as soon as possible.

The fundraiser will be in today! I will let parents know when the orders are organized and ready to pick up :)

Last Monday Nichole and Jayme joined the Five by Five Coalition Brain Builders breakfast. They learned about the importance of building strong brain foundations in early child development. We hope Teacher Nichole has a wonderful maternity leave!
