Thought I would share this post to add a little smile to your day as I know everyone certainly needs a little positivity in our lives at this moment. We are entering into unprecedented territory and I can honestly say that in my 25 years of event planning I have never had to cancel or postpone an event up until a few days ago. I had a bat mitzvah party scheduled for next weekend. In speaking with my client we were fortunate enough to be proactive and change the date as well... as re-book all of the vendors including myself for a new date in a few months from now. I am very optimistic that this shall pass and we will all be safe and healthy to enjoy simchas in the months to come. Shaylas bat mitzvah party last night was all about my favourite colour pink. Everything was outstanding, the decor from Smash, loved those pink letters that lit up the room, the music from Sole Power, amazing food from Grand Luxe and of course the vendors that we couldnt do without. As I reflect upon the last 24 years in this business, I realize that every family, and every client has a story. As a wedding and party planner I am privy to some of the most intimate parts of people lives and their stories. So, today I decided to start to share some of these amazing memories and ONE crazy story. Pictured here is a bride from 12 years ago, a bride that I was fortunate enough to be hired to help plan her wedding. Now, here comes the funny part, 12 years lat...er this beautiful bride is now my sons Grade 5 teacher. So, on the first day of school as she is checking her attendance she sees the name "Temes" and quickly asks my son, is your mom by chance Tamara Temes? Of course, he replies "yes, thats my mom." Then the teacher says "your mom planned my wedding." What a small world. So, what I can take away from this story is, one never knows who will cross your path again, in this case it was a fortunate turn of events for both me and my son. See more

I am very I interested to find out how many of you ladies have kept the same engagement ring that your husband proposed to you with? I was married just about 24 years ago and the styles of engagement rings have certainly changed a lot over the years. I had a very beautiful but chunky yellow gold engagement ring. So, I decided for one of my milestone birthdays I wanted to update my engagement ring. I modernized my ring and custom designed it with an amazing and very talented jewelry designer and I am now absolutely in love with it. I also had the chance to incorporate some diamonds that were passed down from my maternal grandmother, which makes the ring now even that much more special. I would love to hear your stories. (Photo is not my personal ring but it is stunning!!!)

We all know wedding season is just around the corner and I am seriously in love with this new trend for 2019 of hanging florals. I cant think of anything more romantic or magical.

The word that comes to mind for last nights celebration of Noas bat mitzvah was exceptional. These exceptional vendors made the night a HUGE success!!!! The decor by Rock Paper Events was outstanding, The Ritz Carlton food and staff were amazing, Magen Boys brought over the top talent and audio visual to take this party over the edge.
