Quilt’n Things For You

Today I am excited to be offering a Block of the Month called Blessed Bee. This will be available as a block of the month with your choice of schedule. You can purchase 1 block per month for a year, get 2 blocks/month for 6 months, 3 blocks each for 4 months etc. Or purchase everything all at once! Limited kits are cut and ready to go now. You just decide how you want to do them. Kit fabrics are the Woolies flannels from Bonnie Sullivans collection. Each block kit is $20. Pattern needs to be purchased at the beginning and borders can be purchased at anytime during the program. I have chosen to do the sample with machine appliqué but it could be done in the traditional appliqué method as well. If you love bees you won’t want to miss out on this quilt!

Fun little project using some of the new fabrics in and a pattern called Absolutely Apron plus a quick face mask.

I just hung this one up in my studio. I made this a few years back using Bonnie Sullivan patterns and fabrics. I now carry her line of Woolies Flannels and lots of patterns. Although some of these fabrics are discontinued I was able to get some of them before they were gone. I have other fabrics from her line that could be substituted where needed. If you are interested in any of her pattern or fabrics let me know. This particular group of patterns calls for machine piecing, fusible appliqué (hand appliqué could be substituted) and hand embroidery. Fun little project and so cute.

Received another We whisk you a merry Christmas book (sewing version) and embellishment pack for the quilt in the book. I do also have the machine embroidery version of the book as well. I have a couple of the main fabrics for this quilt on the way. I will of course post pics of the fabrics when they arrive. I sold out of my fat quarter bundles but have ordered more and hope to get them soon.

Last post today! This cute little pattern comes with pre printed fabric to make these adorable bowl fillers (or could be pin cushions too). Pattern with the pre printed bowl fillers is $26.

Like this quilt? Just got in a few more rulers and patterns. Pattern is done beautifully with clear and concise instructions. Ruler specific for this pattern ( and others I have in stock) and makes this complicated looking quilt easy to do.

Just received some new fabrics in including a blue dot woolies flannel, a cotton bee scripts, and some 108 wide back cottons. New wide backs include an beautiful white with a crackle finish, a white with friendship sayings in black- perfect for any friendship or family quilt, a black with vines - looks darker in person, and a black with shades of grey and white glyphs - great for any guy or teen!

HELLO KINGSTON AREA LADIES...I just wanted to give a heads up that I will be in Kingston on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend . Christmas time is usually a bit busier and 6 weeks may be needed to finish quilts in time for the big day. My October pick up will be returned in November but depending on how many I get in November I may not be able to get finished for the December drop off. Plus the extra time may be needed on your part to get bindings finished. For that reason, I want to encourage you to finish what you want done for Christmas for this next Saturday pick up. If you don’t get finished, you can always drop off here later (after the October pick up but before the November one) so that I can have finished for the December drop off. I have a few different little wall hanging hangers. The 3 larger ones hold up to 12 inches across and the smaller house one will hold up to 6 inches across.

Just thought I would get a pic with all my different batting’s available and all cut to size off the roll. I find the batting on the rolls so much nicer to work with because you don’t get all the wrinkles that tend to happen in the bagged batts. I have mainly Hobbs batting’s which include the heirloom (80/20) 96 wide, 120 wide, black 108 wide, white 108 wide, Hobbs Tuscany 100% cotton 90 wide, 100% wool 108 wide, polydown 108 wide and mountain mist 80/20 90 wide. Believe it or not- these are all in my studio too!

Got in a few 45 wide fabrics with scripts/ numbers as well. These make great suttle backgrounds and neutral fillers. Pics are a little dark.

A couple more 108 wide backings available. Nice neutral tones. Save 10% If you buy the backing for a quilt I am basting or quilting for you!

UPDATE: THESE HAVE SOLD OUT BUT I HAVE MORE ON ORDER. IF YOU WANT TO BE ON A WAIT LIST WHEN THEY ARRIVE LET ME KNOW. Not listed the other day in my face mask supply post - I forgot! I have the nose bars in stock too. Available as a package of 100 or separately in quantities of 10. I have used pipe cleaners before but these are far nicer and more comfortable. Even my son noticed the difference! Just 17 cents each if buying the entire package ($17) or buy only 10 for $2 (20 cents each).
