Happy New Year everyone! Just a quick reminder for those of you with a variable rate mortgage that the next Bank of Canada rate announcement is next Wednesday January 9th. Please keep your eyes on my page to see what happens as I will be sure to post it here.

As anticipated, the Bank of Canada has increased their interest rate by 0.25% bringing the prime rate to 3.95%. This will affect anyone that has a variable rate mortgage or any other lending product that is based on the prime rate.
