Sometimes we can’t make progress on our to-dos because our brains are so full of other thoughts, plans, and intentions. Before pulling out your list, grab your phone or a blank sheet of paper and do a brain dump of all those thoughts swirling around. Create a task snowball. Tackle your to-dos in this order: Complete the ta...sks you can first knock out in the shortest amount of time. This gives you some easy wins under your belt and carries momentum into your next task. Know your rhythms. If morning is your productivity sweet-spot, use those hours to tackle tasks that require the most mental bandwidth. Save the afternoon for your more administrative and routine to-dos. Flip-flop this plan if you’re the opposite. BC's Sunshine Coast is rural, and black bear sightings are commonplace. Regardless of whether we live in bear territory or they live in ours, here are some bear aware tips to keep us both safe. 1. Don't feed bears as this can lead to the animal being captured and destroyed. 2. Have bear-proof garbage storage and only put out your bins the morning of pick-up day. If you compost, please use bear-proof composting bins. ... 3. If you have fruit trees, pick fruit as it ripens and clean up any fallen fruit. Bears are extremely lazy, and like many humans, all they want to do is lay on the couch and eat! 4. Do your best not to surprise or scare a bear. Talk loudly or make noise while walking in the forest. A bear doesn't want to encounter you any more than you want to meet it.
