B.C. is one of the only coastal jurisdictions in North America without a united plan and law to protect it. The ocean is part of BC's cultures, communities, ecosystem, and economy. Let's include all these facets in our provincial plans. http://ow.ly/Ecdb50Cmthk

We want to take a moment to recognize and thank Kiera Vandeborne for all the time and good work that she put into her role as Community Development Director at TBuck and coordinator of the BC Young Fishermen’s Network. Kiera has been pivotal in building community around fisheries, particularly at the helm of the BCYFN. As she reflects on her time at TBuck and the BCYFN, she most appreciates "the power of community building in responding and adapting to constant change. Kiera has recently moved on to pursue a master’s degree from UBC in Community and Regional Planning and though we are sad to see her go, we couldn’t be more excited to see what her future holds. http://ow.ly/cWu850Cjf9V
