Stairway to Bedtime ~ Getting wall panelling done brings a sense of luxury into the home. It adds texture and visual interest and in this case a bit of drama! We chose a dark grey to amplify the staircase from the main floor and kept it light up top where the windows were bringing the most light in and where it attached to the hallway walls leading into the bedrooms. This time of year is exciting on many levels, one big reason we love it is because it's exterior paint and garden season! A Golden Time . ~ We are seeing it everywhere... everything from golden to mustard to creamy soft lemon yellows- it truly is a colour that is not only on trend but induces feelings of cheer and energy! Careful not to overdue the electricity or amount of yellow though! Case in point- studies show that infants who sleep in yellow rooms cry more than others! . Colour psychology is real, we love to put our good knowledge to use to get it right for you so that you feel the way you intend to in every room that you and yours spend your time in!

Modern Cottage Chic ~ Mixing the classic styles of marble and wood is one of our favourite looks! This cozy kitchen was upgraded with a new hexagon backsplash, stainless steel feature hood fan and gas range and a wall mounted water faucet for filmmaking big family meals. The kitchen island, with a rustic wooden front and marble top, was added to maximize storage, prep space and seating. One really unique feature we love to point out is the use of leather pulls on all the cabinet doors! This kitchen keeps its modern white, open plan with warmth and charm being the dominant force; welcoming in all family and friends and starting each morning with a cheer and motivation!

Weekend Mixer ~ I love mixing styles with decor. It’s sometimes so challenging to get the full picture perfectly balanced, but who doesn’t love a good challenge!? The vibrant use of colour in the art have been pulled out and used as props of colour in furniture and textiles, all against a blank white canvas. Finished off with a barely there, sleek modern Edison style lamp. Here we have: traditional/cultural, antique/ modern and chic country all fitting perfectly together in the corner of a historic loft.
