You take out car insurance to protect your car and other people no questions asked. You take out home insurance to protect the items in your house and have no problems with it. You pay for groceries to feed your family no questions asked.... You pay for medication when your sick no questions asked. You pay your cell phone, internet and cable bill each month happily even though you know they are just ripping us off! Can anyone tell me why that when it comes down to protecting your family and your financial well being, no one wants to talk about it. Does no one see the problem with this? The one area that effects you, yourself and the people you love the absolute most, you do nothing for! This is not the case for everyone but 95% of people I speak to say they don't need it or can't afford it. That may be true in some cases but if you are paying for any of the above then it comes down to you just not wanting to put your priorities in order. I guess you are ok with setting up everyone else in your life except you and your family. If you look at insurance as a monthly cost you don't truly understand it. If you look at savings for retirement as a monthly cost you don't understand retirement planning.
