With Election Day upon us tomorrow, October 17, we have some special thanks to share: East Hants Council and staff would like to extend sincere thanks to Warden... Jim Smith for his service. Warden Smith is retiring from municipal politics and not re-offering in this election. Warden Smith was first elected as a Councillor in 2008 and has served as Warden since 2012. Most recently he has served as Chair of the Executive, Nominating, Audit and Source Water Protection Advisory Committees.
