MAKE OVER NUMBER 1! So it’s been 11 years of making this sausage roll. It has been quite popular but it’s not up to the standard that I would like and cannot believe I have waited so long to to revamp it. We have a few of the OG’s left and will rolling out our new sausage roll soon! It is lightly flavoured with thyme and toasted fennel seeds. I can’t wait to share them with you!

I’m so lucky to be able to have work and the people I call my second family taking care of it for me. (And taking care of me) Keep sending out the love folks! We all need it! Now that I am going through this journey it is forever my job to help people be more aware. They say I’ve caught it early enough. I’m not that old. What if I didn’t catch it early enough? What if I get the attention of just one person that needs... to catch it early enough! One beautiful life is my job now! And I am committed!

When I had my son I had the pleasure and extreme luck to have lived across the street from the most dedicated day care owner ever! And even better, now get to call her my friend! Rosie helped shape my boy into the kin...d, considerate, caring , almost, teen he is and I could never say thank you enough. He was a few blocks away in the best hands while I created this bakery. Rosie NEVER stops giving. While she is no longer a daycare owner she is in school full time raising two teenage girls, one of which she took on to give help her a better life. This woman deserves a prize folks! So pls help by sharing/tagging this and let’s get some people in need some warm clothing! I was just listening to a podcast called We Are Not The Virus, focusing on how the homeless population is coping with/surviving the pandemic. It’s getting cold out, especially at night and I would like to help. The teens and I are going to collect as many Adult rain jackets, Winter jackets, gloves, scarves and toques as possible and hand them out at the Strathcona tent encampment, the downtown east side and just wherever we see someone in need. ~Rosie

MEET BILLIE! New sourdough dough baby to join May and Dolly! Billie is a Teff sourdough starter that grew to that in two days! May is a Sorghum starter, we use her in our seedy sourdough rye and she is 2 years old. And then there is Dolly, 3 years old! Dolly is a hard ass worker! I’ve had to save her a few times from my neglect. BUT she always comes back with a vengeance!

LOVE BUNS! I think it’s important for everyone to know that actually love is put into the food we make for you. My staff are all very caring, kind souls I believe when you have positive thoughts while baking, it transfer through to the people that are eating it. (It’s a little hippie but its ok to believe in nice things, always, but especially these days) ... This bun in particular was made by my staff, for me as I headed off to my second to last chemo treatment, to let me know they are all thinking about me. I cannot express my gratitude enough to these fine folks for taking my baby (the bakery) under their wings and keeping it flying high! Thank you for coming in and supporting us. Pls show them kindness and say some nice words to them next time you are in! Keep the love flowing!
