Abedi’s Story: Pregnant in the midst of a pandemic Q: Why did you reach out to the MSCPC initially? A: I contacted MSCPC when I was looking for help to prepare for the arrival of my baby. I was referred by the ABC program who gave me your email which I used to reach you. I got quick feedback from Melissa who kindly asks information about me to get to know me better.... Q: What was it like the first time you came to the centre? A: Unfortunately, I didn't yet have the chance to come to the centre because I first started reaching out by email on March 30th when the pandemic was putting everybody online. Q: How did you feel after your first visit? A: I will officially have my first visit in November, but I remember the first time I got deliveries from MSCPC. I was so happy that I cried and I thank God for this help. Because I was facing difficult times and with my pregnancy I was wondering how I could make sure my baby will have what he needs. Q: What long term impacts of connecting with the centre have you experienced? A: Being connected to MSCPC, helped me grow in faith and being willing to help others as I have been helped. Also, doing my best to be a good servant of Jesus, a good mother, a good wife and also help my family the best way I can. Thanks for your support, advice, videos and prayers. Q: What would you say to someone in a similar situation as yours? A: Don't give up on God. He always knows the way through every obstacle and every issue you are facing. Stay connected, try to get help and keep believing! ..... To help ensure that support remains available throughout the extended COVID-19 situation to women like Abedi and many more please consider making a financial donation. https://www.canadahelps.org//the-markhamstouffville-crisi/
