Due to new protocols in the procedure of booking and scheduling an appointment, a phone call to book your visit would be more efficient then txt or e-mail. The VKH Massage Clinic- in Dunvegan- Update!! We have been very busy getting the new location ready. Most of the supply is in and I'm slowly getting back in the groove of seeing patients. As per our regulating body -CMTO and also EOHU who recommend for us to start seeing essential clients first, I will do so in June. On a side note: I also have to start building my stamina since 3+ months of not practising Massage Therapy, left me with relaxed but not worked out muscles. For... that reason I will not take on new patients at this time. On June 22nd I will take calls, to schedule appointments for the month of July. Due to increased operating costs with all the requirements of PPE and additional sanitary procedures, my fees will increase $5 per treatment as of JULY 2020. A short phone call for a pre visit COVID19 screening will determine a safe and informed outcome of your Massage treatment appointment. On the day of your appointment there will be a COVID 19 focused consent form to be studied and filled out. I have increased my time between Patients to make time to explain, answer questions and prepare the work area. I would like to thank everyone for the patience and overwhelming support with all the changes that this time is challenging us with. Looking forward to reconnect with everyone. With the outmost Gratitude Jeannine See more

As the Province "re-opens", conscientious Registered Massage Therapists are doing everything they can to minimize risk, and gradually return to work. The orders... by the minister of health, and our College, make it clear that we need to be very diligent in protecting our patients before anything else. Making a proper plan to return to work, so that we can safely administer therapy to our patients, while maintaining high standards of sanitization, and cleanliness, in full accordance with legislation, will be our top priority. We are working to get to a point where we can see everybody once again. During this critical phase one of the return-to-work Directive, we need to be hyper diligent not to increase anyone's risk, or to create a possible increase to that all important curve. Your health care is very important to us, and we will get people in when it is possible. Thank you for your understanding, and everything that you've done to help protect the population of this province along with us.

UPDATE: COVID-19 has given us time to spend with family, locked us up for a few month and also thought us many lessons for live. Changes are asked of everyone, adaption for professional areas in life, financial and personal aspect. With a heavy heart but full of positive thoughts I have decided to move The VKH Massage Clinic to my home. There are many preparations before I can open up and schedule appointments, I assure you I have been woking hard to organize my house, taking... courses on line and getting all ducks in a row ;) At this time I'm waiting on the delivery of PPE ordered on line and proper covers for table and pillows. What that means for all my Clients is, that all scheduled appointments are canceled until the venue is ready up to standards required from our Regulating College CMTO as well as the EOUH recommendations. I will contact everyone who has standing appointments with personalized calls. All gift Certificates will be honoured or reimbursed.I will do my best to be there for everyone, I'm not that far away ;) its only a 15 min. drive. I would like to take this opportunity to send out a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Brianna Albright for having me at her beautiful Chiropractic Centre. I truly enjoyed working with you and having such a positive happy human being next door. Your support is and has been greatly appreciated. A big thank you to all my people who I had the honour to work with and hope to see in the near future again in Dunvegan. As alway feel free to call me for any concerns or questions. I will connect with everyone in the near future. As always be safe and I hope to see everyone soon again in the new location. Deepest gratitude, Jeannine See more

As many of you have heard on the news today, Registered Massage Therapists are able to work again!! As fantastic that is, we have to respect the guideline our regulatory college provided us with. There are new policies and restrictions we have to follow some of them may be lifted and /or changed as we move on. For now I will NOT jump into this "new normal" scenario without deligently doing my part. Safety measurements take time and I will be organizing all the expected docu...ments, preparing screening assessments, also getting the new disinfection rituals in place. The scheduling will be a little bit different due to more time needed in between patients. I will connect with everyone to move appointments if needed. Patients may not wait in the waiting area but will be asked to wait in the car until called/ txt or waived :) to enter. Masks will be mandatory !! Everyone should arrive with their own mask in place ( mouth and nose covered) , ready to wash hands before entering the treatment room. All this will take a few days to find a routine be assured I will do my best to have everyone back asap. A few more weeks patience in this beautiful summer weather. Check in on the VKH Massage Clinic page for new updates, call or message/ txt me for any concerns scheduling related or treatment oriented. If you use Facebook private message me. As always stay safe and cool

Hallo Everyone :) I hope this beautiful weather is leading you outside for walks, gardening and some quality time with Family. As I understand we are now allowed to gather in small groups again, of course with the proper physical distance. We have not yet received a date to reopen but our College is working hard to find a safe protocol to have us back working as soon as possible. I will stay in contact with you, to either reschedule or confirming our appointment, also to check in, making sure you are doing ok in this time. as always STAY SAFE

How I feel today ..

The VKH Massage Clinic 16.06.2020

The VKH Massage Clinic remains closed until we get the OK from EOHU and our College. I would like to connect with everyone through out this time of "social distancing". Life has given us a time to collect our thoughts, rest our bodies and surrender to this situation. I'm fully aware of the difficulty most of us are faced to due to this time forced to be at home, no income and also the unknown. Lets focus on the positive, we have time to get to know each other in this situation, to get to know ourselves. Please feel free to call or e-mail for any questions related to scheduling or information on this situation. Be Kind to self and others.

Self-care is often a very unbeautiful thing. It is making a spreadsheet of your debt and enforcing a morning routine and cooking yourself healthy meals and no ...longer just running from your problems and calling the distraction a solution. It is often doing the ugliest thing that you have to do, like sweat through another workout or tell a toxic friend you don’t want to see them anymore or get a second job so you can have a savings account or figure out a way to accept yourself so that you’re not constantly exhausted from trying to be everything, all the time and then needing to take deliberate, mandated breaks from living to do basic things like drop some oil into a bath and read Marie Claire and turn your phone off for the day. A world in which self-care has to be such a trendy topic is a world that is sick. Self-care should not be something we resort to because we are so absolutely exhausted that we need some reprieve from our own relentless internal pressure. True self-care is not salt baths and chocolate cake, it is making the choice to build a life you don’t need to regularly escape from. And that often takes doing the thing you least want to do. It often means looking your failures and disappointments square in the eye and re-strategizing. It is not satiating your immediate desires. It is letting go. It is choosing new. It is disappointing some people. It is making sacrifices for others. It is living a way that other people won’t, so maybe you can live in a way that other people can’t. It is letting yourself be normal. Regular. Unexceptional. It is sometimes having a dirty kitchen and deciding your ultimate goal in life isn’t going to be having abs and keeping up with your fake friends. It is deciding how much of your anxiety comes from not actualizing your latent potential, and how much comes from the way you were being trained to think before you even knew what was happening. If you find yourself having to regularly indulge in consumer self-care, it’s because you are disconnected from actual self-care, which has very little to do with treating yourself and a whole lot do with parenting yourself and making choices for your long-term wellness. It is no longer using your hectic and unreasonable life as justification for self-sabotage in the form of liquor and procrastination. It is learning how to stop trying to fix yourself and start trying to take care of yourself and maybe finding that taking care lovingly attends to a lot of the problems you were trying to fix in the first place. It means being the hero of your life, not the victim. It means rewiring what you have until your everyday life isn’t something you need therapy to recover from. It is no longer choosing a life that looks good over a life that feels good. It is giving the hell up on some goals so you can care about others. It is being honest even if that means you aren’t universally liked. It is meeting your own needs so you aren’t anxious and dependent on other people. It is becoming the person you know you want and are meant to be. Someone who knows that salt baths and chocolate cake are ways to enjoy life not escape from it. -Brianna Wiest [Illustration: Yaoyao Ma Van As Art ]
