Now that all the kiddos are heading back to school, its a great time to remember to check for lice! September is National Head Lice Prevention month, even though kids have been home, lice can still be picked up in places like, clothing stores, the movie theatre, sleepovers and so on. Please Remind them not to share hats, coats, hoodies and the like. Check the hot spots; behind the ears, crown area, along the hairline (in bangs) and at the nape. ... Know what youre looking for; check not only for live bugs but nits (eggs) as well. Nits generally look like dandruff but dont more when you try to brush them away. They stick to the hair shaft close to the scalp. How to treat; pick, pick, pick! Missing only one nit will have you starting over again. After treating the louse, you want to pick out every bug and nit there is. This may take several attempts, over a few days/weeks. As well as laundering all clothing, bedding, pillows and soft toys in order to stop the spread. Then repeat treatment a week later. Good luck to all the kiddos going to school!! https://www.headlice.org/comb/
They say everything in fashion comes back around! This lovely little lady is bringing back the money piece... just a few foils around the face. FUN FACT! This was MY first hair colour experience in 8th grade!

My daughter is officially ready to go back to school! Im curious, how many masks are you sending per day for your children? Remember! Masks should be washed a...fter every use, once theyve become moist they begin to harbour bacteria, so switch it up often! I recommend washing with plain soap and water, roll in a towel to take out most of the moisture, lay flat to dry! Good luck to all the kiddos heading back to class this week!
I am currently unavailable until September 6th! Please leave a message and Ill get back to you as soon as possible! Christine will be in the salon while Im away for any of your hair needs

It's a good idea to put an extra #mask in your car in case you forget yours while heading out the door or it gets wet or dirty while running errands. For more on proper use and care of your mask check out https://youtu.be/CiEVFqeOk1k

The Imperial Theatres Teeny Tiny Little Fundraiser! DONATE HERE: https://secure1.tixhub.com/imperial-sarnia/online/b_don1.asp As we and many other theatre...s and artistic / performance venues are still unable to reopen, and with a long uncertainty as to when that will be, The Imperial is asking the community to give a LITTLE to make a BIG difference. We are asking for teeny tiny donations of up to $20 (you can definitely donate more, and more than once if you wish!). Our goal is to reach 5000 donations of $20 which will equal $100,000. A little bit goes a long way! Thank you for your continued support of our theatre, and thank you for watching our fun little video narrated by our tiny friend Faye Colborne (who also designed and created the Little Monsters featured in the video!) We will get to you and it will be worth the wait! Once weve gotten th...rough the thick of it, were hoping things will even out and hopefully some more restrictions will be lifted and we can start working together again. We ask that you allow us 72 hours to respond as we are working 10-12 days to accommodate all of you. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! Anita 519-328-1123 Christine 519-330-4203
I just want to give a huge shout out to Lambton Public Health for being amazing and answering all of my questions quickly and efficiently! Let the blow dries commence!
We are Covid-19 certified! We have both taken a refresher on our barbicide courses to make sure we are taking the best possible care we can of our guests. I just wanted to share this great info graphic that was part of the coarse. I was a little shocked at the difference between the 3, and thought it was great info to pass along!
I have officially reached out to all the fb messages, texts and emails, will be tackling both voice mailboxes tomorrow. Please be patient with us. We have hundreds of clients, each of you are dear to us, but we are only one person and working with limited space and time and booking very differently than we are used to. We are all desperate, (including myself who has roots from February and 5 different colours on my ends), but you know, itll be worth the wait to have one on one time with your favourite stylists! Your wait times will be longer than normal, but we will get you in! We promise!! Its been 92 days since we have touched any hair, all we can do is one head at a time!
Great announcement by Doug Ford today, that finally our salon can reopen! Please be patient with us as we rebook our appointments and work on our waiting list! We are so excited to see all of you, and can not wait to catch up! Please keep in mind to ensure social distancing, we have made many changes so we can adhere to Health Canadas standards and keep all of us safe! Firstly, Christine and I will be splitting shifts to keep the number of guests to a minimum. Unfortunatel...y, Marilu has decided not to join us back in the salon until further notice. Our schedules are as follows; Christine Monday-Wednesday Anita Thursday-Saturday We are taking safety very seriously and all rules must be adhered to, Both guest and stylist must wear masks We ask that you wait in your vehicle and text your stylist upon arrival as we have had to remove our waiting area No food or drink allowed or provided Please come ALONE to enjoy quality time with your stylist (leave children at home unless theyre receiving a service) Please notify your stylist to reschedule if at any time you experience even one symptom of COVID-19 PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT! We have allotted extra time between appointments and are running on a strict schedule and will be extremely busy. We appreciate your patience with us as we learn our new normal routine! More information to come! We cant wait to cover those roots and fix those quarantine cuts!!! Love Anita and Christine
I told my customers they had to wear a mask in the shop for me to do their nails! This is what my customer came in with! My mouth dropped open because of course... this is not the kind of mask I was talking about! She told me to chill, then pulled out her real one! 92 and still spunky! She got me! Needed a good laugh with all this! See more
Soon friends, soon.
BREAKING NEWS: Ontario Premier Doug Ford announces regional re-opening plans, moving to Stage 2, as early as this Friday. Sarnia-Lambton is NOT included. Restr...ictions will remain in-place here. As of this Friday, social gatherings in Sarnia-Lambton can increase from 5 to 10 people. Physical distancing rules still need to be followed. More details to come...this post will be updated and more summaries of Premier's announcement to come.
We are getting closer but not quite there yet! Unfortunately Lambton county is ineligible for opening when this portion of phase 2 begins, but we want you to know, we are ready for you! Keep watch here for more updates! https://www.ontario.ca/page/reopening-ontario
I have one more of these curly girl kits for sale! $40!! Who wants it!?
Another update from eastern Ontario medical officer.. https://nationvalleynews.com//uncertainty-still-swirls-ar/
As we await our opening date, we are preparing to serve our guests as safely and effectively as we possibly can. Heres a glimpse of how things may look when our time comes. You will have plenty of quality time with your stylist and we cannot wait! We are still working the fine details, and once its safe to do so we cant wait to create some beautiful hair together! https://www.google.ca//coronavirus-hair-salons-reopen/amp/
There were some statements made today by the EASTERN Ontario medical officer, that to date, are the closest thing Ive seen to actual guidelines for our industry for Ontario. We miss our clients so, however, unfortunately working in such close proximity with our clients is still unsafe. Christine and I want to make sure we keep everyone safe and healthy, including ourselves. In order to do that, we will be following a new set of strict guidelines, once the health unit provid...es them. We have been watching our industry closely in the states, as they reopen, hoping to learn from both their mistakes as well as successes. From what I can see we will still be closed for a number of weeks (this article says late summer, however nothing is set in stone), although this makes our hearts heavy, we know its the safest thing for everyone right now. Below I have posted the article in question as well as an article I read last week about a large salon that has reopened and potentially infected over 100 people (see in comments) We CANNOT have this here. WE LOVE YOU! This is why we must wait. This is why there are no backyard hair cuts happening, no matter how many times a day we are asked. Your health is our #1 priority. And it always will be. Please stay tuned as we are soon to roll out an online store to keep your hair feeling healthy and strong in the summer sun, as well as an idea of what your next salon visit may look like. We will get through this together, one day at a time! https://nationvalleynews.com//ontario-hair-salons-barbers/
This is 10 days old, but still stands true...
