A slightly belated thank you to all of our Kickstarter supporters. We couldn't have done it with you! #TJABeauty
We had a great time answering questions about Beauty and the Beast and playing drama games at Yarrow Elementary this morning. We were very impressed by how much the kids remembered from the performance they saw and the fantastic questions that they had. Hey Yarrow, you've got some smart kids out there! #TJABeauty
Another wonderful show come and gone. Thank you to everyone who made Beauty and the Beast possible, including our cast & crew, board of directors, Kickstarter supporters, and everyone who came to see it! It was a wild ride and a whole lot of fun. #TJABeauty Plus, an extra huge thank you and much love to our tireless leader, Megan Mackenzie, who constantly and continually makes all of this (and we mean ALL OF IT) happen. Until next time! ... - The TJA team.
Our first two school shows are done! Bit of a crazy ride on the second show but it's all in the nature of live theatre. Looking forward to our evening show tonight!

Playing Belle in this year's production of Beauty and the Beast is none other than Rebecca Mackenzie! Becky has been involved in every TJA production so far, including Susan in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, a turn as the Costume Designer for Treasure Island and Agate in last year's production of Snow White! Here are 10 facts you might not know about Becky:... 1. If Becky had to eat one thing for the rest of her life, it would be chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Hands down. 2. She enjoys camping, horseback riding, and being outdoorsy... If there aren’t snakes or slugs around to get in her way. 3. If she had a top ten list of things she disliked, writing blog posts would be at the top. Refer to #10. 4. Becky is a self proclaimed klutz; and yet, she has somehow never broken a bone. #irony 5. Belle has always been Rebecca’s favourite Disney princes. 6. Beauty and the Beast is not her favourite Disney movie. 7. Becky has been to Disneyland 7 times in the past 7 years. She’s addicted. 8. The first role she ever played was the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland... directed by her 8 year old sister in a living room production. 9. Rebecca has seen A Walk to Remember 932 times, give or take. 10. Becky’s older sister, Megan, wrote this blog post.
