The nearly 20 years over which Clyde Fans was serialized saw many steps to broader recognition of comics as literature in Canada. As often as not, Seth was there first and comics couldn't ask for a more thoughtful and eloquent ambassador. He always be counted on as an engaging interview subject and if nothing else, this should mean we get an hour of him with Shelagh Rogers. (Hint, hint.) I can't think of a better graphic novel to be the first one longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. Congratulations to Seth and Drawn and Quarterly! #GillerPrize
