Anyone remember an old colourway that I called Sammy? I added a short run to the Oct 1 update for anyone wondering whether the previous update has shipped, it’s all gone EDIT: I just conferred with Linda and there are a smalll number of packages that have not yet left the studio; my bad! I spoke without checking on that one and I’m super sorry! My understanding is that they’re packed and ready to roll and sitting next to the shipping station awaiting their labels, so if you haven’t received a notification yet please don’t worry! One of our staff members has gone back to school and I didn’t properly acknowledge the impact that would have on work loads.

Root came out in two dramatically different - batch A is kinda brown/gold and batch 2 came out looking a little more slate. I’ll make sure I list and shoot them separately, so keep an eye out on the 1st to get the skein you want :) #indiedyer #thebluebrick #yarnporn

We had to bathe Arya today after her romp through the pond at Sensei’s puppy party for their dogs birthday. Yep, you read that right! Pupcakes and all! And no matter how big or small they are, they are always babies at bath time

Process on Tito’s hat using Root in worsted. I’ll have another batch of this colour in our October 1st shop update :) he asked for a double tall-foldable brim and I added an Estonian braid for a little interest between ribbing and stockinette. I’d youve never tried it, it creates a horizontal line of knit stitches and is super cool! Google Estonian braid for tutorials :)

Another colour coming to our Oct 1st shop update is a run of shoal :) I’ve only made it once before and I don’t know why, it’s lovely! Best of all, this is on the Organic super soft Killarney eco wash sock :) #indiedyedyarn #thebluebrick

Being that it was a shop update day, today was not a dye-station day, not a heat warning day, not even a ragweed alert day. And that meant makeup :)

Thanks for your support today folks, as near as I can tell this has been the smoothest one to date for the most number of folks. I’m not saying it’s perfect... but it’s on the right path. Tons of stuff is still online including sweater kits in all three colours :) I will endeavor to schedule small runs in for the colours that sold out first; Root, Muscovy, Apuglia and Mermaid Purse.
