The Crescent Sky

Last year we were approached by Mark Grizzard, the director of the Belle Voix Choir at Illinois State University, to write an arrangement of our song Northern Lights for his choir to perform in March of 2020. We gladly gave Mark permission to arrange our song and we awaited the performance date. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Belle Voix was not able to perform Northern Lights live, but they did record a special video with all of the performers that beautifully captures their incredible sound and unity as a choir. We are incredibly honoured to have so many amazing musicians bring to life our song. We've got exciting news! This coming Saturday at 7:30pm we're teaming up with the Evergreen Cultural Centre and Hubcast Media to kick off the start of their Speakeasy Concert Series! This will be an a free online live streamed concert, so keep your eyes peeled and we hope to see you *virtually* there!

Anxiety has been something Ive been battling with for the past number of years, and I feel like Im constantly telling myself Im not broken. It can be hard to talk about these things, but talking about it makes it slightly less scary, so I hope this song meets you where you are in your own journey with yourself.

"What's your writing process?" This is a question we often get asked... and honestly, there isn't one right answer. Sometimes one person brings a song to the table, and other times the song starts naturally in a jam sesh. This video footage was taken in the summer of 2018 while we were in the states to see one of our favourite artists . This video captures when our song "Remembering You" was written. If you've ever heard us in concert, usually @reganluth will talk about raspberry fields in a summer sunset, and these are the fields he talks about.

In our new song "Lay Low" we were inspired by the song "Slack Jaw" by @sylvanesso. We have rustling leaves, brushing jackets, and other unique sounds in the track that were recorded at @sae_northamerica in North Vancouver. Here is a video of Anna R. FRIENDS! Today we released our debut album, Wonder! This album has been in the making for the past year and a half. We relate to both meanings of the word wonder: we are filled with a sense of awe and possibility as we pursue music, yet there is great uncertainty, now more than ever in our lifetimes. In the process weve spent time dreaming, doubting, and challenging ourselves to define who we want to be as a band.
