Photos put time into perspective don’t they? Our memories are our memories and will always be there, but it usually isn’t until we look back at an old photo and think holy shit, where did the time go?! I know it feels like yesterday I was exploring Paris with Halle, yet this photo was taken almost three years ago already. Talk about holy . The one thing most people agree they wish they had more of is time... To do the things they love, with the people who matter mo...st to them. To experience. To explore. To grow. To learn. To feel. To make things right. To freeze moments so they can last a little longer because they touch us so much. So why do we waste so much time doing things we don’t really care about? Working jobs we don’t like. Going to events we don’t want to go to. Staying in relationships we know aren’t right for us. Participating in friendships that hinder our growth. Complaining, dwelling, worrying, and living in the past. Or simply waiting for life to happen instead of doing something about it. I encourage you to regain control. Of your life. Of your thoughts. Of your mindset. Of your time. Declutter the areas of your life that don’t serve you anymore and create more space for the things that light you up. Put everything you’ve got into this life! There are few words that sum up the feeling of standing at the top of a mountain, staring out at the beauty of each peak, and salivating at the powder that fills the bowls beneath them, ready to strap in and just ride. There are fewer words to describe the feeling of standing there with some of my favourite people. In these moments, this is Freedom. ... Freedom from the chaos of life on the ground, the expectations and uncertainty of what’s to come, the pressure to have it all figured out, to be enough by standards not set out by ourselves. To live within societal norms, to be failed by people we count on, to compare, and doubt, and question ourselves and what it is we’re really doing here. We all do it. The freedom felt within a single ride down that mountain is in my opinion, the feeling to strive for each day. To be in control of your own outcome, feeling alive and free of fear. And just as each edge we carve and each turn we take down that mountain is a choice, so is the life we create for ourselves. I will always strive for a life of Freedom, to live without limits and to be surrounded by people that are real and that I love. I’ll ensure it because I’m the creator of it.
