This #ThrowbackThursday we’re taking a look at the history of the Candy Apple. Check out these Now & Then photos from the archives! THEN | In 1908, as a way to promote his new candy, William K. Kolb put a stick into some apples, dipped them in the candy mixture, and put them on display in his shop window. Soon candied apples were being sold along the Jersey Shore at circuses and fairs. Here is a photo of the Princess of Ohio enjoying a Candy Apple at the CNE in 1960. NOW | Candy Apples are still enjoyed at the fair today and they have been a worldwide favourite for 113 years!
