Couple Muley bucks in front of our Reconeco Outdoors scout HD trail cam this weekend. They look to still be holding racks so we will stay on the lake ice fishing on our weekends. Antler Obsession Berta Bucks Apparel
This buck looks like he could be nice, let’s hope for some good growth this year. Vortex Optics Phone Skope
We never noticed this till after we posted these pictures but look how much the right side looks like his left side when his body is turned. Reconeco Outdoors Antler Obsession
A throwback to 2018 when Jerry Sturko dropped this heavy Muley buck. This was actually a buck we had some history with but totally miss judged his mass, just goes to show how deceiving a buck can be. Berta Bucks Apparel Sturko Outdoors Productions
Well these are Mark Sturko’s biggest Whitetail, and Mule Deer to date. Wonder how many years it will take Mark to beat either one of these personal bests. #MountMonday
The Scout HD from Reconeco Outdoors is keeping tabs on a couple bucks for us. Can’t wait to see what this guy looks like this summer with his new Velvet rack powered by Antler Obsession
Dorin Ladouceur with an absolutely awesome bull moose that he was able to take with his bow. Dorin had a scare just prior to his planed hunt, with an eye injury. Not sure how well we would be able to shoot our bows with a bad eye but it sure looks like Dorin was able to get it done, congratulations Dorin on a magnificent Bull Moose. If you also want us to share your hunting or fishing pictures just send us a private message and we would love to give you a shout out, as long as the pictures are in good quality.
Travis Sturko with a beauty walleye. The ice is 14 thick and a lot of trucks out there but we had plans on moving around a lot until we find some fish so we used the quad yesterday in stead. If you’re headed south on the hard water stay safe and good luck.
Darrell Sturko with our families biggest whitetail buck to date. Darrell shot this tank during the 2006 hunting season that scored just shy of 201 inches.
We like to get out some mineral or feed this time of year to help the animals through the winter. Antler Obsession
When in the blind hunting we look forward to our hourly snack and/or coffee to help the sit go by. Anyone else do things to help the time go by while hunting or fishing? Black Rifle Coffee Company Canada
Michael Mclaughlin was able to lay the smack down this year on this big 45.5 Alberta bull moose. Moose hunting is such a rush and we would be elated if we’re able to drop a bull like this, and we know Michael was sure pumped up when he heard the bullet hit. Congratulations again Michael, If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share it. Berta Bucks Apparel
Kody Campbell had one of those mornings that doesn’t last longer then an hour with a bang flop kill shot and zero recovery required. Congratulations Kody on a great buck and some good shooting. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share it.
Just on the wrong side of the fence or we may have taken a crack at this buck.
Dave was at Timberlost Outfitting in Saskatchewan with our uncle Jerry a couple weeks ago and was able to harvest this beauty whitetail. Dave’s had a pretty good year in Alberta with a nice Bull Elk, unreal Muley buck that has a 5 drop tine, and his first whitetail of the year thats also a big buck. Congratulations again Dave on all your success this year. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share it.
Happy Birthday to our uncle Jerry today as well as a congratulations on harvesting this Whitetail Buck a couple weeks ago with Timberlost Outfitting in Saskatchewan.
It doesn’t matter the time of year or where a bull is, we just love spotting big bull moose.
This is just awesome. Elizabeth Ann sent this in from Alabama. Elizabeth was able to get this doe this year while being 7.5 months pregnant. We never judge a hunt by the size of a rack as it’s the story and memory that matters. This was one heck of a memory for Elizabeth and I’m sure she will never forget this hunt. Congratulations and way to get the job done. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share it.
Tamara sent this in and what a great buck she was able to harvest. It’s sure nice to see some nice animals taken this year. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share it.
Oh ya, this was a good text to get in the morning as you’re having a coffee. If you also want your trail camera to send you a text message every time a bucks walks by your camera then make sure to check out Reconeco Outdoors https://www.reconecooutdoors.com/ and use promo code THEFEVER10 for additional discounts. This would make a great Christmas present for any loved one who enjoys the outdoors.
Here’s a shout out to one of our followers Geoff Dorward who spends most his time in the woods across Alberta with his bow, and sometimes rifle. Geoff also enjoys filming his Outdoor Adventures and has been hunting for 20 years. Geoff also started up Dorward Outdoor Adventures on all social media platforms and make sure to check out his YouTube channel where he shares all his great content. Nice work Geoff on some great animals over the years, we can wait to see what you can drop next year. Paityn and her friend Nevaeh where able to get a couple nice bucks together this past hunting season. What a great day hunting, good work girls, way to get the job done and fill the freezer with some delicious meat. It’s that time of the year and this is one great giveaway from Reconeco Outdoors please follow all the rules in the attached post to properly enter for your chance to win.
Not sure if it’s the angle or how this bucks positioned, maybe it’s just us but doesn’t his neck look thick. He was a good healthy deer that we’re pretty sure another hunter placed his tag on within a week after we captured this picture. Vortex Optics Phone Skope
Wonder if this guy will keep showing up on the Scout HD now that the hunting season has ended and there’s less pressure in the deer. Reconeco Outdoors
This buck just walked by our Scout HD now the question is, old warrior or unique spiker, what’s your thoughts? hit us up in the comments Reconeco Outdoors
Excited to see what kind of growth he can put on for his next rack, hopefully he stays close. Reconeco Outdoors
This buck bolted out behind us as we were checking a camera mid day and we could only successfully shoot him with a video camera.
Ben McCarthy was able to get this buck with his family on a good old push, nice work Ben. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share it.
Skyler Haugen laid down a beautiful whitetail this past season. He’s also been working on some editing and other things for his page The Moment Outdoors he’s also got a YouTube channel thats worth checking out. Already getting some inventory on mule deer that made it through the hunting season. All we have to hope for is a good winter and then to find some sheds in the new year. Reconeco Outdoors
Well that seems about right, when there’s no more gun shots the deer just know they’re safe. This buck was bedded 100 yards off the road in an open field.
A couple months ago that tree was a lot fuller on the bottom half. Vortex Optics Phone Skope
Uncle Darwin was able to pull another one out of the bush this year. A couple years ago Darwin took a tank of a buck that scored in the 160’s but it’s not always about that number, rather the time spent with his kids and grandchildren in the outdoors. He’s been sitting watching over one of his favourite fields this year and when the season was almost over he decided to pull the trigger. Congratulations Uncle Darwin that’s some good sausage and jerky right there.
Trav.Is.Outdoors and his family where able to get 3 Antelope bucks in 3 days in southern Alberta earlier this year. Antelope is one of our favourite hunts and for Trav to have his dad along filling a tag with him is priceless and he doesn’t have to share his meat with him. Make sure to head over and check out Trav’s page and give him a follow as he’s got some fantastic photography that he’s been posting. Keep up the good work Trav. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just message us to be feature with a short story and we will be honoured to share it as well. https://www.facebook.com/Trav.Is.Outdoors1/
Easton Szysky sent in this pic of his beautiful 4x4 whitetail he got this year while sitting with his buddy in Saskatchewan. Congratulations Easton on a great buck and we can’t wait to see if you can top it next year. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just tag us @thefever_ca to be feature or send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share your story as well.
If you’re looking to get your wild game done up you may want to consider Krause’s Custom Processing Rudy and Bernie sure know how to whip up some delicious sausage and jerky. We’ve been going to them for as long as we can remember so support local and give them a try if you haven’t already.
Well it’s that time of year to highlight some of our followers. 14 year old Kegan Ksenych had himself a great season as he was lucky enough to take a fantastic Bull Elk and a beautiful Whitetail buck this year. This kid is on track on becoming an absolute killer and very successful hunter, make sure to give Kegan a follow and check out this ambitious young man as his hunting career is just getting started. Congratulations again buddy as we love chatting with you. If you also want us to share your stories or pictures just tag us @thefever_ca to be feature or send us a private message with a short story and we will be honoured to share your story as well.
It’s all because of the handle bar luck Joel MacDonald and Mark Lous seen this buck go into a bush they made a quick play with Jerry, Justin and Gord then with a successful set up Joel was able to place his tag on another great Whitetail buck, congratulations Joel.
Cool blading on this buck we were able to tag this week. Stay tune for more pictures.
We just love being apart of the Vortex Optics family with all their incredible optics.
It happens all the time, you fill a tag and then a bigger bull decide to tease you. This was one bull that was at the top of our hit list this season, hopefully he’s around next year as Mark Sturko will be drawn. Vortex Optics Phone Skope Reconeco Outdoors... Just double grinding up approximately 40lbs of moose meat for burgers, spaghetti, tacos, moose loaf, or anything else you can think of making with ground moose meat.
The Bull Moose Travis Sturko took last week was one we had near the top of our hit list along with some bigger ones. We had a few encounters with this guy in archery season and knew his territory. With the Whitetail season getting close Travis wanted to shift his focus to deer and couldn’t pass up an opportunity to fill his Moose tag on this bull. Congratulations again Travis and shout out to Antler Obsession as this bull was definitely hitting it up in Jun - Aug as seen in these trail cam pics. Reconeco Outdoors
Watching the Masters and butchering up some Moose meat, no better way to spend a Sunday.
Let’s hope things heat up as the whitetails are starting to move, let’s hope for a big buck to make his way over.
The white hoody is doing just fine. Yesterday we had a great laugh as some of you sent us messages, comments or sent Travis Sturko messages worrying about his white under armour hoody that had a good amount of blood on it. This hoodie has always gotten real clean when dirty and all that’s required is a simple wash using the Tide-pods. Now hopefully he can get it dirty again after downing a whitetail before the months over.
Travis Sturko with a big day yesterday taking a nice Bull Moose and today we celebrate our final 5 buck challenge with a throwback to the 90’s with a couple good bucks and some recent harvests as well.
Huge congratulations goes out to Travis Sturko today as he was able to connect on this Alberta Bull Moose. We had an encounter with this bull earlier in bow season but couldn’t seal the deal but today Travis had a goal to get a bull down and out of the way. Then just after first light he was able to fill the tag on this 46 Bull Moose and we got it mostly butcher with the use of our Quick Winch. Vortex Optics Phone Skope Reconeco Outdoors... 5 deer challenge with Kyle Sturko, he may be gone but he will never be forgotten. Kyle was by far the best shot anyone in our family has ever seen. Now let’s have a look at 5 bucks that he let have it over the years KS
Travis Sturko was able to get it done today on a beautiful Alberta Bull Moose, more pic to come as we got a lot of work ahead of us.
Mark Sturko continues off the 5 deer challenge with a few nice bucks. These buck where all taken over the last 12 years with the last two taken a day apart in 2010.
5 deer challenge with Matthew Sturko today on his Birthday. Big HBD goes out to the man that spends many hours in front of the computer editing up all our footage. These are 5 bucks of Matt’s with great stories. Not sure who else has 2 velvet archery bucks bigger then rifle bucks but Matt’s one of them. Different zones and different season most definitely make a difference in the deer quality.
Dialled in and ready as rifle season is upon us. Vortex Optics
With rifle season opening up in our area we want to sent it back to when we got the in-line buck. We had a few encounters with this buck back in 2017 during archery season but couldn’t seal the deal till November came around. Now we had a handful of tags that season and Kyle was stalking in on this buck with his Dad Darrell. When they got busted the buck bolted through a low spot that Joel was watching over and sure enough the back door slip worked out in our favour this time and our cousin Joel MacDonald was able to place his tag on this beauty buck.
Right before this guy came in we where thinking that those decoys didn’t look right however they seemed to work as they brought in a young buck that we ended up passing on, still cool encounter.
Setting up blinds for rifle season and you would be surprised how much stuff Mark Sturko is hauling in this picture, guys a work horse.
This was from the 80’s and based off the outfit we don’t think uncle Darwin even got to camp before he was able to tag this Antelope buck.
What a good looking Whitetail buck. Vortex Optics Phone Skope
Looks like this buck got some barbwire wrapped around his main beam. We think it cut off circulation weakening the bone so when he shed the velvet the antlers just broke off. What’s your thoughts. Reconeco Outdoors Antler Obsession
Just a couple does at the watering hole, soon enough there will be a big buck with them all. Reconeco Outdoors
A little bit of snow with some Moose rut activity but not the big guy we’re still looking for. Vortex Optics Phone Skope

Mark Sturko was out the other day checking cams mid day in a spot he’s walked many times but this time he was one trail over and wouldn’t you know it a nice whitetail shed was there all this time.
Happy Hump Day!!! How’s everyone’s moose hunting been going so far this year. Reconeco Outdoors
We had our buddy Steven Alexander out with us and he ends up stepping on this shed while out in the bush.

One of our favourite Phone Skope shots from earlier this season through the Vortex Optics Razor HD spotting scope. Smith Game Calls
Mark Sturko spotted this rutted up Bull about a half a mile away in the first pic through the spotting scope. Then the next two captures are from when Mark called him in, and he comes charging in.
