Fortis was honoured to work alongside so many community champions to bring the project to life for current and future St. Clair students and athletics. The Fortis team was on site today with the Greater Essex County District School Board for the Construction Kick-off ceremony for the future Amherstburg high school. The future state-of-the-art school will feature 30 classrooms and several wings to accommodate specific technical and academic streams such as culinary & hospitality, robotics, construction, and transportation. The 40,000 square foot renovation was completed in April to make way for the state-of-the-art processing facility. The facility is now one of Canada’s few licensed facilities approved to produce the innovative beverage products. Taking in some recent views at the University of Windsor’s new Lancer Sport and Recreation Centre. Fortis Group is proud to once again partner with EllisDon on the future start-of-the-art facility. The major addition and renovation to the existing St. Denis Athletic and Community Centre seek to blend the University’s academic, recreational, and social environments. Once complete, the new recreation centre will feature a new aquatics centre, triple gymnasium with stadium seating, study lounge, multipurpose rooms, fitness centre, and additional social spaces. #BUILDSTRONG #uwindsor #recreational

Congratulations to the Integrity Tool and Mold on celebrating 20 years of success this year! Fortis Group recently had the pleasure of completing another project with the global tool and mold leader at their headquarters in Oldcastle, Ontario. The project included a 14,000 square foot addition featuring a 50-ton crane bay and shipping bay. This is a great addition to their 550,000 square feet of operations across 11 facilities in 3 different countries. Fortis Group is well underway with a multiphase development project for the former 2 storey Sears building at Erin Mills Town Centre in Mississauga. The team is currently constructing a tunnel to provide relocated service access to clear the footprint for Cineplex’s new Junxion Entertainment Complex. The tunnel is approximately 95 meters in length and consists of over 160m3 of concrete. We’re excited to be back for another redevelopment at the premium shopping centre, as we completed the conversion of the former Target store to a two-storey 143,000 square foot new Walmart in 2016. #BUILDSTRONG #retail #redevelopment

Fortis Group is back at the Farm Boy Distribution Centre in Mississauga for Phase 2 of the future meat processing facility. We are currently completing the major interior-fit up which also includes low-temperature meat processing rooms and freezers, roof structural reinforcement, and a new mezzanine for office space.
