Oh I forgot, we'll do bottle service too at a discounted price...less than what you would pay if you were seated. Reminds me that I owe Carla next door 3 cans of Amsterdam Blonde!!! And before I forget you must order food, so I have small bags of chips for .25 cents!! F it, gotta try!!!

Hello Gem fans, I have a question, wondering how people would feel if I turned The Gem into a takeout fish and chips shack till we could resume " normal" service!? I'm thinking real English style fish and chips, the whole thing, mushy peas, deep fried sausage, good fresh fish, a proper tartar sauce and definitely our famous dill sauce too. Just thinking out loud, hoping for some feedback! Just a quick history lesson, the Gem in its previous life was called Somerset Fish and Chips, my friend Arnold, rest in peace, ran it for about 40 yrs, I think from the 50's until the early 80's, maybe late 70's. I'm not 100% on the exact dates. Woke up this morning with the idea, let me know what you think. Peace

Hello Gem fans, we've decided to not open again today due too the high winds and low temperature. The plan is to open tomorrow (Wednesday), and continue to open weather dependent. We really don't know what we're doing at this point, not giving up but definitely trying things out in the best interest of our staff and patrons. Please have patience with us... Thanks Eddy. Ps. If you have any good ideas that might help I'm open to suggestions.

So mother nature has other ideas about today being Sunday, November 15! We tried but the wind, rain, and temperature have something to say about our operating procedures, so yeah, I guess we're gonna close for the day(4pm) try this again tomorrow. Just a reminder that when they're aren't gale force winds we do have a canopy and heaters that keep most of the patio dry and warm and now and again I do roast chestnuts on a open fire, very Christmas like, yuck!!
