If you’ve been to the shop regularly over the last couple of years, you’ll recognize this happy face. This is Greg, our Manager. He’s an amazing team member, new father, and friend. A few weeks ago Greg and his partner learned that a large tumour had been growing, which has required he undergo several surgeries. Once he’s recovered from both operations, he’ll be fighting cancer. His wife has just gone back to work after her maternity leave, and Greg won’t be able to work for... at least 9 months. We know that some of you know Greg, and will want to send him good wishes. One thing we know for sure is that there are few things that say comfort like the handmade, love fuelled pierogis made my Michelle Musey. (We are embarrassed to say that we missed this awesome woman when we recently profiled some of our favourite restaurants and food makers). We love and admire how much support Michelle and her family give the community by collaborating with and supporting other small Coast businesses - us included. If you haven’t yet had her pierogis get rea...dy for flavours that will take you back to your Baba’s kitchen. Our favourite, of course, is the Potato/Bacon. Michelle loads this baby up with our in-house double smoked bacon. While the Sundried Tomato/Bacon is a close second. Literally, you cannot go wrong with any of the delicious options she makes! You can usually catch her at local farm markets here on the Coast where she dishes up freshly cooked pierogis or has frozen ones on hand. Our kids used to love Friday night family dinner. They always knew it was pizza night!
