I’m hoping to be back up and running on Monday as long as the results are negative. I don’t have to do this, but I am choosing to do this to keep everyone safe. The opening of phase three states that personal service workers are now able to perform services on the face. I will be offering eyebrow trims again starting this week! However, after seeing the uptick of COVID 19 cases over the weekend, I have made the decision to not offer beard or moustache grooming for now. ... The client is protected during these services, but the worker is completely exposed. I will revisit this issue in a few weeks and see where we stand at that point. Just about ready for reopening on Monday!! There will be some changes. I will be closing for 45 minutes to one hour around lunchtime daily because my child is home. I need to check on her and her schoolwork and make her lunch. ... Services are now going to take longer, please be patient with me as I follow the new procedures to keep you and I safe. For now there will be a $2 surcharge for PPE and the extra sanitization of the shop after your haircut. This may change up or down in a couple of weeks as I gauge the time and product required to do this. Please wait in your car. I will have a white board set up outside to communicate when I will be finished with the client I am with. You will need to fill out the health questionnaire. You are welcome to print it out at home and fill it out to bring with you, or I also have copies here. You will need to wear the PPE I supply you (you can use your own mask, if it can be used properly during your haircut) prior to entering. The washroom will not be available to you at this time. Please expect at least 30-45 minutes for each client to have their service completed and for the shop to be sanitized afterwards. Facial services are not permitted at this time as per Ontario Public Health. This means no beard, moustache or eyebrow trims for now. I will also not be providing blow dry service at this time. No beard, moustache, hot shaves, eyebrow trims or blow drying are permitted at this time. The province has reserved the right to change or amend any of these procedures at any time.
