It's that time of year again and you still have time to make up a few of these inexpensive and very effective BIT WARMERS for your horsey friends.
Just a bit of humour to start your week.
Just a few tip to encourage fair weather riders to go out and explore the winter wonderland.
I know some of my guests live in the area that this is happened. Hoping they see this just in case they go out with their dogs. There are some sick people out there. I've never been able to understand what anyone gets out of an act like this.
A fabulous Fall ride with good friends.
This season, our new little mascot, Coco, got lots of loving from two of the most adorable little girls. He thinks he's pretty special and they thought so too.
Due to a couple of cancellations, the nights of September 21st through to September 30th have become available. Contact us at [email protected] or message us through our Facebook page to reserve your spot. The air is clear and the temperatures are perfect for exploring our 30 miles of looping, marked trails. Great footing for barefoot horses. Hot shower and so much more. Map included in camping fee.
This moss was the most insane neon greenish yellow. Photo was taken at the top of the Powerline Trail beside an old cattle guard.
Our latest guests showing off the souvenir painted rocks they collected on our new Pebble Path trail. From left to right are: Amy, Mackenzie, Samantha, Malan, Greg and Laurie.
Evening at Hideaway. All the corrals are full from a group of Kootenay guests. So much laughter heard from this friendly group. Tomorrow their goal is finding Pebbles Path and each coming back with a little souvenir of their stay.
Another day and another photographer and more colourful wildies. Photo credit to Natalie Perchie.
More photos by Deanna DaCosta while at Hideaway Horse Camp.
Some absolutely stunning photos of wildies by recent guest, Deanna DaCosta.
We are fully booked for August and September EXCEPT for these nights: August 30th to Sept 2nd. September 27th to Sept 30th. October is still wide open. ... Strict Covid protocols in place to keep everyone safe. You will be camping by yourself unless you bring your own circle of friends along. Happy Trails!!!!
Later this week a large group of non-horsey couples and their children will be staying at Hideaway. Our Shire X, Razzie, will be taken out of semi retirement and will be transformed into a pony ride steed. The transformation began with the whitening of his socks and the conditioning of his mane and tail. A bath comes closer to the date of their arrival. Who knows what comes later...glitter on his ample hind end maybe?
