In 1995, Glen Flewelling and Wayne Boisjoli took a leap of faith when they decided to put on a horse sale. Neither one of them could have predicted how much that little sale would grow and boom over the course of the next 24 years. Today we are announcing that The Horse Sale will no longer continue. This year's sale was another success with horses averaging over $18,000. We are choosing to go out on top. The Flewelling family will continue to train rope horses and do what w...e love. We will continue to take pride in selling quality horses - just in a different manner. To our consignors and customers - we send a big thank you. As we reflect on a successful weekend, we are happy to report that a total of $1,244.00 is being sent to the Trey Purdie Memorial Scholarship today. Thank you to Tipsy Tumbleweed Tavern for donating $1 from each drink sold. Your hard work and professionalism was greatly appreciated. And we are very grateful to Pat Cassidy who graciously donated his entire cheque to the scholarship. Pat, you are a class act as an auctioneer and as a man.

Big thanks to everyone who came out today. Were really proud of this years group of horses and they sold great. Our average was just under $18,000 and the high seller was Lot #1 from Tel Flewelling, bringing $30,500. I think well head over to the Tipsy Tumbleweed Tavern for a couple beers now. Happy trails!

Tel Flewelling should be awfully proud of his four year old, Blueberry. Handled sale week like a champ and brought $14,000.

Kelly Strandquist sells a good looking, buckskin 5 year old for $20,500.

Rae Rae's lot #18 is an athlete and has a sweet move. He showed awesome and brings $20,500.

Chad Thorson's head horse lot #17 brings $11,250. Real nice horse, good work Chad!

Steve Thiessen's lot #16 does work in the breakaway, heading, and heeling and sells for $20,000!

Tyrel Flewelling's lot #14 shows great and brings $17,750!

Lucky #13 head/heel horse deluxe from Wyatt Smith finds a new home for $15,000.

Lot #12 by Kody Potts brings $19,000.

Doc brought two good ones this year. Lot #11 brings $22,500 and is headed to FSJ.

Lot 10 - heel horse from Ty Cahoon is a steal at $8,250. Heading to Skocdopole Ranches.

Lot 9 - head/heel horse from Kale and Tatum Peterson with Peterson Horses found his new owner for $17,000

Lot 8 - heel horse brought to you by Whitby Farms and shown by Dillon Graham sells for $22,000

Lot 7 - beautiful bay head horse from Kyle Smith found his new home for $17,500!

There is a long history between The Horse Sale and the Purdie family. Trevor Purdie has been a great help to us by catching bids for nearly 20 years. Lane Purdie followed in those footsteps and caught bids in 2017. And the Purdies have had success in the rodeo arena on horses that went through our sale. But above all that, there has been a deep-rooted friendship. This makes us very proud to announce that Tipsy Tumbleweed Tavern will be providing drinks on sale day with $1 fr...om each drink going towards the Trey Purdie Memorial Scholarship. Even if you aren't in the market for a new rope horse, you can come out on July 13 to have a few drinks in memory of Trey. Hope to see everybody then.
